VUCA introduced by U.S. Army War College in late
1990’s.
“New Normal” - VUCA adopted by strategic business
leaders to describe chaotic, turbulent & rapid changing
business environment.
Example – Financial crisis of 2008-2009
 Many businesses obsolete but few got success due to
adapt of new technologies like social media exploded
etc.

  • 3. 03Introduction Today’s market rate of change is much different than in the past. Rapid changes warnings to all the businesses, institutions and nation states. Speed of change overwhelming the skill set of leadership, flexibility & imaginations to adapt. Strategic business leaders are calling this “A VUCA environment”.
  • 5. 04Origin of VUCA VUCA introduced by U.S. Army War College in late 1990’s. “New Normal” - VUCA adopted by strategic business leaders to describe chaotic, turbulent & rapid changing business environment. Example – Financial crisis of 2008-2009  Many businesses obsolete but few got success due to adapt of new technologies like social media exploded etc.
