The Story Of Musa(a.S) And
Phirawn.
Verses (15-26) narrate the story of
Musa(a.s) and Phirawn.
39. STORY OF MUSA(A.S) AND PHIRAWN:
• Allah(swt) narrates a story of the great prophet Musa(a.s), which is
mentioned in great detail in many other surahs of the Quran.
The Purpose of narrating this story is following:
a) To console the prophet(saw), who was denied and mocked by the
leader of Quraysh.
b) To serve as a reminder for believer and to learn a lesson from
Prophet Musa (a.s) stories.
c) To warn the disbelievers from the consequence of denying,
disbelieving and mocking Allah, his messengers and his books.
These verses depict historical evidence to prove that those who denied and
ridiculed their respective messengers were punished twice:
I. Once in this worldly life
II. 2nd in the life hereafter

94. 1) BELIEF IN UNSEEN:
We should believe in the unseen as Allah(swt) instructed us in the Quran.
The belief in the unseen(such angels, Jinn) is an integral part of our belief.
The angels are made of light, move very fast and work for Allah,
according to his instructions.
They are not partners of Allah in his divinity.
2) UPHEAVEL OF THE DAY OF JUDGMENT:
The upheaval of the day of judgment is to be taken seriously.
We should perform good deeds to protect ourselves from its horror,
disgrace and humiliation.
3) MAKING FUN OF THE DAY OF JUDGMENT:
We should not make fun of the day of judgment as unbelievers do
because it entails serious consequences leading to eternal punishment in
the blazing fire of hell.

95. 4) LESSON FROM THE STORY OF PHIRAWNS:
We should learn a lesson from the miserable end of the deniers of the
day of judgment (like phirawn, Qaroon and Abu Jahl).
They are given punishment in the worldly life and in the life hereafter.
5) CHARACTERSTICS OF REBELLIOUS PEOPLE:
We shouldn’t rebel against Allah and prefer this worldly life over the
hereafter. These two characteristics will lead us to the punishment of
hell.
6) CHARACTERSTICS OF RIGHTEOUS PEOPLE:
We should fear Allah as he deserves to be feared to earn his pleasure.
We should restrain from following evil desires to earn paradise of bliss.
7) TIME OF OCCURRENCE OF THE DAY OF JUDGEMENT:
We should not be in search of the time and date of the day of judgment.
The knowledge of it belong to Allah(swt) only and we should prepare for
the day to meet Allah and render account with him.
