actions. We hope that we can regain

There are many ways to help
make things right. Some of them
must include you by law, but others
are optional and can benefit you
personally. Not all of these options
are right for you, and not everyone
is eligible for each option. Keep
reading and you will learn about
some of the ways we can remedy
your particular situation, and decide
which is right for you.
Recall/Repair
All effected vehicles will be recalled
and the emissions test cheat system repaired to
perform at a legal status. This must be done to
make your vehicle legal to drive, and is not
optional. You will be contacted by your local
Volkswagen dealer with the necessary
information. If for some reason you are not
contacted by a Volkswagen representative, or
if you have questions about whether or not
your vehicle has been effected by emissions
test rigging, you can find help on our website.
Driver Compensation
Some effected drivers who purchased
their Volkswagen vehicle new may be eligible
for our compensation package.
The primary requirements to qualify
for one of the limited number of Premier
Compensation Packages are:
You must have purchased your effected
VW vehicle new and retained primary
ownership
The engine must be in the same
condition as when you purchased it, ie. no
after market modifications or other changes
You own your vehicle debt free
Even if they don't meet these
requirements, some drivers may still be
eligible for other compensation packages.
Other qualifying attributes include:
Having less than twelve monthly
payments on your vehicle's loan
Owning a VW certified pre-owned
vehicle with no debt
Owning a previously leased vehicle
Ifyou are unsure whether your vehicle
was certified pre-owned, or ifit was ever part
ofa lease program, contact your local dealer
to find out. Have the vehicle identification
number (VIN) ready when you do.
LegalRepresentation and
Compensation
There should be no legal problems of
any sort for any VW driver who complies
with the recall/repair plan. If you find that
you have become subject to any sort of legal
action because of your vehicle, contact your
nearest dealer and they can put you in touch
with a local VW sponsored legal
representative who may help you through the
situation. If there any fees or fines associated
with your case you may be eligible for
compensation up to the total cost to you.
