 Have a leading role in sampling and development of new and existing glass container jobs in
order to achieve and maintain a high quality percentage pack of ware on IS machines.
 Involved in and help with coordinating training to improve the current skills level of all existing and
any new appointments of forming personnel.
 Have extensive knowledge of glass bottle forming defects, root causes, analysis and rectification.
Continually working hands on with IS machine setups, mould kit designs and modifications.
Continually gaining knowledge in forehearth and glass conditioning.
 Experience in Narrow Neck Press and Blow (NNPB) - Blow and Blow

2. Training of the forming personnel has been one of my top priorities to the success of the Forming
Department. Well informed and trained personnel are one of the best investments that contributes to the
stability and competitiveness of a company in the market place.
I have seen and worked with many production specialists in my life, and I can honestly say that I did not
waste my time during this long journey in this business. Years of service, and years of experience are not
the same.
Responsibilities
 Provide and implement continuous improvement methods and tools to assist plant personnel in
the resolution of manufacturing issues on the I.S. machines, forming processes, and the fore
hearth glass conditioning process.
 Provide the technical assistance for the fore hearths, distribution operations and I.S. machines
 Responsible for assisting manufacturing plants in the improvement of production efficiency;
quality, and continuous process improvement
 Maintain skill level necessary to review, audit and/or recommend process improvements, and if
necessary supervise the operation of the feeder, fore hearth, IS machines and machine conveyors
to maintain production at standard
 Monitor, troubleshoot and ensure effective operations of machine lubrication system, hot end
coating, and annealing lehrs
 Monitor and improve, as necessary, shear spray systems and forming department ware handling
system
 Maintain operational audits on fore hearths
 Work with plant job change teams to reduce change over time and losses during start up
 Work with a board range of people to troubleshoot and improve poorly performing jobs and new
product introductions (samples)
