Cloud ERP applications are being promoted heavily by Oracle into the marketplace. However, the pace of adoption of cloud applications is slow. Users are concerned about the readiness of the ability of the cloud application suite to coexist with their in-house or third party mission critical applications, like manufacturing, planning and fulfillment systems, as Oracle cloud has yet to offer robust applications in these areas.
This session attempts to educate users on options to maximize their return on investment with existing Oracle Applications Unlimited products and at the same time adopt some of the cloud applications. One such area is to use Fusion Accounting Hub Cloud Reporting services to integrate various applications to have a consolidated financial reporting platform. Another area of interest for co-existence is revenue management service in the cloud. A case study of a manufacturing customer who moved their financial modules to Oracle Cloud ERP and implemented a coexistence approach to connect with their in-house manufacturing application will also be presented. This case study shows the viability for anyone interested in pursuing a co-existence approach with Financials in the cloud and SCM/Manufacturing application on-premise.
