• Validation of higher number of reports than in 2017
• Reports used to improve transboundary water cooperation

Inclusion of aquifers remains a challenge and despite data is lacking for several countries, several countries of the region took care of the request to consider transboundary aquifers based on their national sources of information or global databases (thus, creating a baseline to engage with countries on this topic in the region).
