This document provides an overview of human-centered design (HCD) and communication within the HCD process. It discusses how HCD is used to create new solutions for people by including people in discussions. The document then describes some ice-breaking games and activities that could be used to help facilitate connections and communication between strangers, including games about self-creativity, sketching others, human bingo, and simulated killing/cheering. It concludes by listing seven rules for effective brainstorming.
