Objective Of Project-
To Design Intelligent Security System for
bicycle to prevent theft. Aiming to have more
efficient and affordable system
3. Literature Survey:
Introduction
• A Bicycle lock -Physical Security Device used on a Bicycle to Prevent Theft
• The difficulty in preventing the Theft - Wheels are easily detachable. The most
secure locking method therefore is to lock the wheels and frame to each other and
to an immovable object
• Important Aspects- security, portability and cost
• The electronic bicycle lock described here is a worthwhile alternative for bicycle
owners who want to make their bicycles ‘Intelligent’ at reasonable cost
• Circuit can be used for virtually any make of bicycles.
7. IC UM3561
UM3561 features
• Four sounds can be selected
• Power on reset.
• Typical 3V operating voltage
• A magnetic speaker can be driven by connecting an NPN
transistor
• 8-pin DIP package form
UM3561 is a low-cost, low-power CMOS LSI designed for use in
alarm and toy applications.
8. BD139 – NPN Transistor

Description These epitaxial planar transistors
are mounted in the SOT-32 plastic package.
They are designed for audio amplifiers and
drivers utilizing complementary circuits. The
NPN types are the BD135 and BD139, and the
complementary PNP types are the BD136
9. Working
• IC um3561 generates multi siren tones , It can work down 2.4 V
• UM3561 is Siren Producing IC
• We are using Police Siren Configuration in which Sel1 pin is NC and Sel2 is
also NC
• BD139 is to drive the circuit and also used as trigger. The base and emitter
when they are shorted, alarm remains Off and after release Siren Starts its
function
• Pin 7 and 8 are oscillator pin. IC has internal oscillator which can be varied
by changing frequency
• We used Transistor As Switch
• Working Range (2 to 5 v)
11. Conclusion
Electronic Bicycle Lock is another better alternative to
bicycle owners to make their bicycle more secure and
intelligent.
This system of Circuit can be used in Alarm circuits
It can also be used as burglar alarm.
