34. This is where we are going
All the work we did so far has helped us understand that we need to:
Provide access to datasets and software solutions
Open up public domain content
Create a testing ground for innovative ideas
Play to our strengths
Extend our vision to other archives to build that network
35. I-Media-Cities
Exchanging knowledge in Europe
Provide access to films and photographs of 9 European cities
Provide specialized tools for research and annotation
LOD structure with a focus on geolocation metadata
Implementation of automatic analysis tools
Integrated open resources: open streetmaps, LOD services
39. STUDIO CINEMATEK: future vision
● Studio as collaboration for innovation

Editor's Notes
Film archives are by definition European institutions. It is a small world, and they all have very international personnel. Meet Arianna (Personage 4) She is Italian by birth, has worked in the film archives of TORINO, MILANO, TOULOUSE and now BRUSSELS. Even though she speaks a lot of languages, it is still not possible to find a lot of films, because our metadata are either in Dutch or French. This is even worse in IMC, where we have 11 different project languages. Enter: LOD
Archive materials show images of places that no longer exist or streetnames that have changed. Finding these places on Google maps is almost impossible now. Enter LOD
Rapidly shrinking budgets for annotation work. Enter LOD
World renowned Digitization Laboratory that is specialized in restoration and digitization of film heritage.
