The Sage – Arts and Culture Centre for Life – Science City, North East Genetic Specialists Angel of the North Anthony Gormley Science City Baltic –Modern Art Gate to Newcastle’s China Town -Stowell Street, situated between The Gate and St James’s Park, is home to Newcastle’s own Chinatown. A traditional Chinese Arch or paifang constructed in 2005 makes an impressive entrance to this area which contains numerous Chinese restaurants and supermarkets plus a few Japanese and Korean establishments.
