PROJECT?
With the help of this project and the efforts of the students
working on it, OYO plans to Build a Targeted Marketing
Model that would generate and eventually increase the
demand for their services across a variety of target groups/
audiences.

6. STEP 1 – IDENTIFY TARGET GROUP
• Identify & segment your potential customers/ target group.
― OYO recommends reaching out to your TG directly and strongly
advises against using any third party to meet targets.
• Example of Potential Target Groups:
― Friends, Relatives, Colleagues, Peers
― Colleges:
Travel committees/Travel Desks/ Students and Alumni,
For College Festivals, Convocations, Field Trips, Camps,
Exchange Programs, Personal Travel, etc.
― Schools: Vacation Plans, School Trips, Competitions etc.
7. MASS SPIEL FOR SOURCING LEADS
Post this on Social Media or Messaging Platforms to generate leads:
“Hello There,
I am "XYZ", doing MBA from "ABC" college. I am working on a project with
Oyo Rooms. If you or anyone else you know is travelling for work, leisure or
pleasure anywhere across India and are confused about booking a stay, then
please contact me.
I can get their booking done within a minute and give them the best possible
rate available with OYO Rooms that shall ease your stay. All you have to do
is give me your booking dates and the preferred location in your destination
city and I shall do the rest for you.”
8. STEP 2 – UNDERSTAND TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

• Talk to them about any upcoming Travel Plans that they might have.

9. HOW TO APPROACH YOUR TARGET PEOPLE
Introduce Yourself:
• Hi, I’m working for OYO and I would like to talk to you for 5 minutes.
Ask Questions:
• Before we start, may I ask you a few questions?
• Have you ever booked hotels using a website such as MakeMyTrip?
• Have you heard of OYO Rooms? If yes, have you ever booked a Hotel
using OYO Rooms?
• Do you have any Travel Plans in the near future? Family/ Personal/
Work/ Leisure/ Group, anywhere across India?
• If so, would you like to do the booking using OYO?
10. STEP 3 – PITCH OYO FOR HOTEL BOOKING
• Once you have understood the requirements, suggest them OYO as
a means of booking their Hotel Rooms.
• Convince them by iterating the benefits of using OYO over other such
services.
• Tell them that you will do the Bookings on their behalf, so they don’t
have to exert any efforts or waste any time in trying out a new
website/app.
11. BENEFITS OF USING OYO FOR HOTEL
BOOKINGS
• Nominal pricing with rooms starting from Rs. 999/- and going up to as
much as Rs.12000/-, depending on the category of the room booked.
• They deliver what they promise. The photographs on the website or
on the mobile app are genuine and unedited, unlike other online
portals.
• Complementary breakfast and free Wi-Fi is available in each and
every OYO Room. Besides that, every OYO room is equipped with a
Flat Screen TV.
• OYO has penetrated the markets of the major cities in India and
hence can be located anywhere and everywhere.
12. STEP 4 – GET BOOKINGS DONE FOR THE
CUSTOMER
• Once interested, take the details of their Travel Plans.
― Travel Dates, Locations, Choice of Hotels, Budget, Number
of Nights, Number of People, etc.
• Do the Bookings for them on OYO MITR App Login provided by the
project manager (Recommended)
― In case, a customer insists on doing the Booking himself, you
can go with the OYO App Referral Program wherein you
should share with them your unique referral code, using which
they can download the OYO App & do their booking
themselves (Use only when the situation arises)
13. STEP 5 – RECORD & SHARE BOOKING
DETAILS
• Once the Booking is done, the customer will automatically receive
an email with their Confirmed Booking Details (On the same email id
mentioned in Guest Details).
• Next, Submit the Booking Details to the Project Manager by filling
this Booking Details Form.
― In case, the customer booked it himself using your referral
code, get the details from him and fill it in the same Booking
Details Form.
14. WHAT IS THE FINAL OUTPUT I AM EXPECTED TO
ACHIEVE?
You are required to get a minimum of 5 Room Nights booked across
any number of people/ locations/ hotels.
• There is no upper limit on the target. A student can make as many
bookings as they want.
NOTE: The bookings to be made is for 5 nights and does not mean 5
different customers. [Eg., If a student is able to book one single room
for one single customer for 5 nights, then he/she will have achieved the
target of 5 room nights booked].
Therefore it is not necessary to target 5 different customers.

15. WHAT WILL I BENEFIT FROM WORKING ON THIS
PROJECT?
Company Certificate:
• On the successful completion of the allotted target, the student will receive a Project
Completion Certificate signed by the Regional Demand Head of OYO Rooms.
Monetary Incentives:
• The OYO Mitr App gives the students flexibility to Upsell by tweaking the price with
the volume button on their phones and those prices will then be visible on his/her app.
Therefore, students be able to earn extra money from those customers for whom they
are doing the bookings using the upsell function of the MITR App.
• If the Customer has paid this amount in advance using ‘Online Payment’, OYO will
return the Extra Amount to OysterConnect, who in turn will pay the student.
17. USING THE ‘OYO MITR’ APP LOGIN
(Only for Android Users)
1. Download the App from Google Play Store (For Android
Users Only)
2. Login using your Mobile Numbers, after the Project Manager
has informed you about the creation of the same.
3. Click here to View the OYO MITR App tutorial to learn how to
use the App for booking purposes.
18. USING THE OYO WEBSITE LOGIN
(Only For Non-Android Users - IOS/ Windows/ Blackberry)
1. Open the OYO Rooms Website (www.oyorooms.com).
2. Login using your Mobile Numbers, after the Project Manager
has informed you about the creation of the same.
3. Click here to View the OYO Website Tutorial to learn how to
use the App for booking purposes.
19. USING THE NORMAL OYO MOBILE
APP
1. Download the App from your respective App stores (Google Play/
IOS App Store/ etc.)
2. Login using the same Mobile Number that you used to Login on
the MITR App or Website.
3. Go to the ‘Invite & Earn’ Section to access your Unique
Referral Code.
4. Its is a reusable code which you can share with all those
customers who insist on doing the bookings themselves.

wants to do the booking themselves)
