Modern life is a study in extremes. The rapid rise of technology
and its successive integration into nearly every facet of our lives
has left many of us figuring out how to adapt to its
omnipresence rather than the other way around. At the same
time, these very same devices offer the promise of making us
more productive, expanding our social circles, and achieving
our personal goals.
The result is that the boundaries that used to exist between live,
work and play have for all intents and purposes disappeared.
The impacts of this are very real. People are faced with a
barrage of notifications coming during client meetings or family
dinners. With all these devices pinging us and vying for our
