India has been the leading country in the World in Knowledge, Wisdom, Music, Art and Culture
from the very beginning.
Philosopher travelers from across the world visited India from time to gain knowledge of its
religion, philosophy, literature, medicine, astronomy, astrology and mathematics from its
sacred texts. Up to the 18th century India had been an ideal country in the world in educational,
economics, social and spiritual fields. In the 18th century, our contribution to the world market
was 37% and our income was 27% of the total income of the world. The literacy rate in the
country was 97%. According to the famous German scholar Max Muller, English scholar G.W
Leitner and the then British Government, the number of primary and secondary Gurukuls was
7 lac 32 thousand. The centres of the higher education were 14 thousand where at least 18
subjects ranging from Mathematics, Astronomy, Astrophysics, Physics, Chemistry, Geology,
Metallurgy, Philosophy, Surgery and Medical Science, Technology and Management were
taught. The British rulers, having a hidden agenda to keep us enslaved for centuries, tried to
ruin our rich and prestigious tradition of wisdom by destroying our whole educational system.
Today, there are 450 universities, 13 lac primary and secondary schools, 15 thousand colleges in the
country. Many institutes of science, management and technologies exist in the country but we
are not able to inculcate our tradition and culture amongst the students. We want to make our
culture, sanskaras, history, yoga, meditation and good values a part of today’s education
system. We want to Indianise it. By awakening the hidden great self and by developing the
holistic personality of the students, greatest, fully awakened, able, industrious and ideal human
being of the world.
Through the University of Patanjali and Acharyakulam we want to creat an example
by setting up such a tradition of Vaidic Rishi Sanskriti and Gurukuliya parampara that
after Deekshant, Graduates of our institute will not be roaming here and there in
search of jobs at the mercy of others rather they themselves will provide health,
self dependence and employment by creating job opportunities for others.
We want to build up such a foundation of sanskaras in the children of Acharyakulam
that, be it the University of Patanjali or any other institute in the world, wherever
they go they will not be influenced by the sensual materialism of the West. Rather
we want to prepare such fully awakned and consciuos children who will be able to
change the course of flow of the current times.
Children are the future of any nation and are at the centre of the dreams and aspirants
of the parents. Parents wish to see their children achieve great heights. They aspire
to give their children the best of education and the best of values. ‘Acharyakulam’
is the confluence of ancient Vaidic learning and the best of modern education. We
wish to bring out leaders with high moral values along with the best modern
education through Acharyakulam.
The leaders of our Nation used to be nurtures in the Gurukulas in the earlier times,
where pupils used to study the Veda-Vedangas along with the art of defense,
economic & virtues and thereby gain the ability of critical thinking of what was
right and what was wrong. Hence true, austere and self – disciplined people held
the supreme place amongst individuals, family, society and Nation. Unfortunately
today’s leaders of our country are being groomed in Convent Schools and foreign
institutions like Oxford, Cambridge, Harvard and Massachusetts. We have to
prepare social, cultural, spiritual, economical, industrial, political, scientific and
intellectual leadership through Acharyakulam and other erudite programmes.
Unfortunately, in today’s experts, leaders & intelligentsia feelings and values of
spirituality, Bhartiyata (Indianness) and self esteem who will have the
amalgamation of modernization and Bhartiyata.
Acharyakulam shall play a pivotal role in nurturing superior and awakened citizens.
I heartily wish all the Children, Parents and Guardians a successful, prosperous and
pious life ahead.
The advent of modern science and technology along with the blind craze for western philosophy
of consumerism has made the man so busy that he doesn't have time to think of the very
purpose of life. As he cannot recognize the purpose of education. The purpose of life has
become as if to collect more and more wealth and resources to maximize comfort and
worldly pleasure. That’s why the purpose of education too has become the preparation to be
capable to accomplish that goal. But what is more worrying is that the materialistic view
towards life has overpowered spiritually so much so that the basic human values like love,
honesty, truthfulness, sympathy, etc. have started withering on the vine.
The inevitable consequence are alarming social evils like rampant corruption, extreme insecurity
of women, communal or political terrorism, reckless environmental, pollution, outbreak of
diseases like cancer, AIDS, etc. At this critical juncture of human civilization, quite naturally,
the society at large forces the educationalists to introspect on the quality of the human
resources they are developing. Educationalist too, being the victim of the same social thinker
and Yoga Guru of twenty first century, Pram Pujya Swami Ramdevji and the living legend in
Ayurveda and herbal plants Shraddheya Acharya Balakrishnaji could not ignore the
expectation of the society from them. Be it the fields of Yoga or Ayurveda, be it the fields of
Naturopathy of political reforms or indigenous economic development, their initiative in any
fields has proved beyond doubt that they never believe in ordinary thinking or in ordinary
way of working.
Quite expectedly the duo took the revolutionary step in the field of education – a combination of
Sanskrit medium traditional GURUKUL system and English medium modern education – the
foundation of a new name in the field of education – ‘ACHARYAKULAM’.
Here in the ashramik campus of ‘ACHARYAKULAM’ the teachers are expected not to
instruct the young minds, “Do what I say, don’t what I do”. Rather they are
expected to become the ‘Acharyas’ to teach not just from the books but through
their own way of living i.e. ‘acharan’. With this attitude towards their children they
are expected to tread on the path of excellence in grooming up: firstly, a good pool
of Vaidic intellectuals who will delve deep into the ocean of knowledge stored by
our ‘Rishis’ to lead the nation as well as the world in different fields; and secondly,
the future children of Bharatmata who, with deep-rooted faith in the values of age
old ‘Rishi’ tradition and equipped with technology laden modern education, will
lead the modern nation in different fields.
Vandemataram!!
With the divine blessings and guidance of Param Pujya
Yogrishi Swami Ramdevji and Acharya Balkrishnaji, an
innovative vision in the fields of value based education
– ‘Acharyakulam’ – was inaugrated on 26th of April,
2013. ‘Acharyakulam’, a residential educational
institute, is the divine confluence of the age old
tradition of imparting wisdom and knowledge in the
ancient Gurukulams by our ancestral Rishi & Munies
and the ultra-modern Scientific, Professional and IT -
enabled system of today.
Mission :
To groom fully awakened and fully abled souls who will build an
awakened, enlightened, developed, family who in-return will enhance the physical,
mental, intellectual, spiritual, social, economical, political and scientific society that will
enrich the nation and then the world.
Objectives of Acharyakulam :
1. To prepare Vaidic scholars- To prepare proven scholars in Grammer, Philosophy,
Upnishad, Veda, Vaidic literature, Vaidic Mathematics, Indian proven history and
Raj Dharma etc. and to prepare graduates with the power to give social, spritual,
econimical, scientific and political ideas leadership.
2. To prepare leaders of modern Bharat- To prepare intellectuals and national leaders
who can set new landmarks in different fields like: Technology, Management,
Defence, Administrative Services, Police Services, Medicine, Engeering, Games and
Sports, Fine Arts, Music, Drama, Agriculture, Industry, Research, etc.
We will be instilling in the young minds the glory, utility and attraction of
both the expectations. Then a child will get prepared according to his/her
Karmashaya, Sanskar and Svabhava. Pujya Swamiji believes that the possibility of
reformation in a child decreases by one percent with every passing year of age.
And generally from every aspect a child becomes enlightened by one percent
every year. But with the help of intellectual efforts we can develop this
enlightenment physically, intellectually and spiritually by one to ten percent.
Expected behavior of the members of
Acharyakulam family:
1. Aspect of Knowledge- To enhance intellectual development of a child is our
primary goal.
2. Aspect of Behavior – To ensure that a child remains 100% free from macro
behavioral vices. And being aware of the micro vices, he/she endeavors with full
determination and honesty to get rid of the same so that we can take pride in
saying, "We at Acharyakulam are following the path of our attitude and values
as expected from ideal angels, children of Rishi-Rishikas, Veer-Veeranganas and
the greatest children of Bharatmata. We should have a strong morale against
unethical conduct. We should have the same hatred against micro vices like
desire, despair, insistence, impulse, reaction, etc. as we have against macro vices
like non-vegetarian diet, malpractices, depravity, violence, addition, etc. We
should not welcome any unethical conduct, though it is true that, our Sanskaras
and Karmashaya instilled in our soul from previous lives and our attitude and
nature of the present life will stand as the biggest challenges in front of us.
However, with awakened consciousness, firm determination and enthusiasm and with
practice of yoga, devotion and such other methods we can come out of such
difficulties and make our evil sanskaras ineffective.
Faculty :
Great importance is attached to the quality of the staff at Acharyakulam. Trained,
highly qualified and experienced teachers are appointed to impart education.
Compassion, devotion to duties, good manners, helpfulness, dedication and
strong belief in spiritualism are some of the prerequisites of teachers at
Acharyakulam.
Enhancement of teacher’s skills is a constant phenomenon here. Since teachers
live on the campus, there is an open teacher-taught interaction. The teachers
interact with the students to give them the much-needed academic and emotional
support to make them feel at home.
1. As the pathfinder of a different education system Acharyakulam integrates the eternal and
sacred heritage of oral Vaidic learning along with the latest developments in modern
education in a world class leaning ambience, facilities with the best hi-tech multimedia
learning tools with NCERT syllabus.
2. As a part of traditional Vaidic Gurukul system the children master the subjects ranging from
Sanskrit, Veda-Vedangas, Upanishad, Vaidic Mathematics, Philosophy, etc. Same way as part
of modern education they also develop proficiency in English languages, English
conversation, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, Art & Craft, Sports, etc. However,
inculcationg Vaidic Culture, Ethics and Sanskaras lies at the centre of the whole concept.
3. Multifaceted and Comprehensive development of the individual’s personality is the objective
of education. A truly holistic development – i.e. the development of physical, intellectual,
spiritual and emotional faculties od a child is the goal here at Acharyakulam and regular
practice of yoga and hawan by the whole of its family plays a significant role to achieve this
goal.
4. As part of Rishi tradition of our country all the Rishiputras & Rishikanyas of Acharyakulam
have their Upnayan Sanskar before Vedarambh.
5. Acharyakulam is a confluence of the best of the Eastern and the Western systems and
concepts of Education.
6. With special emphasis on sirituality and character building, Acharyakulam has been
established as the breeding ground for Social and National leaders of tomorrow.
7. To inculcate the indomitable love for the Motherland and the Mother Nature the young
children here are taught how to follow Swadeshi way of life based on Yoga and Ayurveda
with satvik and nutritious food.
8. Children, here, are blessed with regular sessions and guidance from world’s top
educationalists, visiting facilities and Gurus.
9. The institution always encourage innovative & creative programmes.
10. In order to achieve different co-curricular objectives very often the children are
taken to different educational, excursion and adventure tips.

  • 4. India has been the leading country in the World in Knowledge, Wisdom, Music, Art and Culture from the very beginning. Philosopher travelers from across the world visited India from time to gain knowledge of its religion, philosophy, literature, medicine, astronomy, astrology and mathematics from its sacred texts. Up to the 18th century India had been an ideal country in the world in educational, economics, social and spiritual fields. In the 18th century, our contribution to the world market was 37% and our income was 27% of the total income of the world. The literacy rate in the country was 97%. According to the famous German scholar Max Muller, English scholar G.W Leitner and the then British Government, the number of primary and secondary Gurukuls was 7 lac 32 thousand. The centres of the higher education were 14 thousand where at least 18 subjects ranging from Mathematics, Astronomy, Astrophysics, Physics, Chemistry, Geology, Metallurgy, Philosophy, Surgery and Medical Science, Technology and Management were taught. The British rulers, having a hidden agenda to keep us enslaved for centuries, tried to ruin our rich and prestigious tradition of wisdom by destroying our whole educational system. Today, there are 450 universities, 13 lac primary and secondary schools, 15 thousand colleges in the country. Many institutes of science, management and technologies exist in the country but we are not able to inculcate our tradition and culture amongst the students. We want to make our culture, sanskaras, history, yoga, meditation and good values a part of today’s education system. We want to Indianise it. By awakening the hidden great self and by developing the holistic personality of the students, greatest, fully awakened, able, industrious and ideal human being of the world.
  • 5. Through the University of Patanjali and Acharyakulam we want to creat an example by setting up such a tradition of Vaidic Rishi Sanskriti and Gurukuliya parampara that after Deekshant, Graduates of our institute will not be roaming here and there in search of jobs at the mercy of others rather they themselves will provide health, self dependence and employment by creating job opportunities for others. We want to build up such a foundation of sanskaras in the children of Acharyakulam that, be it the University of Patanjali or any other institute in the world, wherever they go they will not be influenced by the sensual materialism of the West. Rather we want to prepare such fully awakned and consciuos children who will be able to change the course of flow of the current times.
  • 6. Children are the future of any nation and are at the centre of the dreams and aspirants of the parents. Parents wish to see their children achieve great heights. They aspire to give their children the best of education and the best of values. ‘Acharyakulam’ is the confluence of ancient Vaidic learning and the best of modern education. We wish to bring out leaders with high moral values along with the best modern education through Acharyakulam. The leaders of our Nation used to be nurtures in the Gurukulas in the earlier times, where pupils used to study the Veda-Vedangas along with the art of defense, economic & virtues and thereby gain the ability of critical thinking of what was right and what was wrong. Hence true, austere and self – disciplined people held the supreme place amongst individuals, family, society and Nation. Unfortunately today’s leaders of our country are being groomed in Convent Schools and foreign institutions like Oxford, Cambridge, Harvard and Massachusetts. We have to prepare social, cultural, spiritual, economical, industrial, political, scientific and intellectual leadership through Acharyakulam and other erudite programmes. Unfortunately, in today’s experts, leaders & intelligentsia feelings and values of spirituality, Bhartiyata (Indianness) and self esteem who will have the amalgamation of modernization and Bhartiyata. Acharyakulam shall play a pivotal role in nurturing superior and awakened citizens. I heartily wish all the Children, Parents and Guardians a successful, prosperous and pious life ahead.
  • 7. The advent of modern science and technology along with the blind craze for western philosophy of consumerism has made the man so busy that he doesn't have time to think of the very purpose of life. As he cannot recognize the purpose of education. The purpose of life has become as if to collect more and more wealth and resources to maximize comfort and worldly pleasure. That’s why the purpose of education too has become the preparation to be capable to accomplish that goal. But what is more worrying is that the materialistic view towards life has overpowered spiritually so much so that the basic human values like love, honesty, truthfulness, sympathy, etc. have started withering on the vine. The inevitable consequence are alarming social evils like rampant corruption, extreme insecurity of women, communal or political terrorism, reckless environmental, pollution, outbreak of diseases like cancer, AIDS, etc. At this critical juncture of human civilization, quite naturally, the society at large forces the educationalists to introspect on the quality of the human resources they are developing. Educationalist too, being the victim of the same social thinker and Yoga Guru of twenty first century, Pram Pujya Swami Ramdevji and the living legend in Ayurveda and herbal plants Shraddheya Acharya Balakrishnaji could not ignore the expectation of the society from them. Be it the fields of Yoga or Ayurveda, be it the fields of Naturopathy of political reforms or indigenous economic development, their initiative in any fields has proved beyond doubt that they never believe in ordinary thinking or in ordinary way of working. Quite expectedly the duo took the revolutionary step in the field of education – a combination of Sanskrit medium traditional GURUKUL system and English medium modern education – the foundation of a new name in the field of education – ‘ACHARYAKULAM’.
  • 8. Here in the ashramik campus of ‘ACHARYAKULAM’ the teachers are expected not to instruct the young minds, “Do what I say, don’t what I do”. Rather they are expected to become the ‘Acharyas’ to teach not just from the books but through their own way of living i.e. ‘acharan’. With this attitude towards their children they are expected to tread on the path of excellence in grooming up: firstly, a good pool of Vaidic intellectuals who will delve deep into the ocean of knowledge stored by our ‘Rishis’ to lead the nation as well as the world in different fields; and secondly, the future children of Bharatmata who, with deep-rooted faith in the values of age old ‘Rishi’ tradition and equipped with technology laden modern education, will lead the modern nation in different fields. Vandemataram!!
  • 9. With the divine blessings and guidance of Param Pujya Yogrishi Swami Ramdevji and Acharya Balkrishnaji, an innovative vision in the fields of value based education – ‘Acharyakulam’ – was inaugrated on 26th of April, 2013. ‘Acharyakulam’, a residential educational institute, is the divine confluence of the age old tradition of imparting wisdom and knowledge in the ancient Gurukulams by our ancestral Rishi & Munies and the ultra-modern Scientific, Professional and IT - enabled system of today.
  • 10. Mission : To groom fully awakened and fully abled souls who will build an awakened, enlightened, developed, family who in-return will enhance the physical, mental, intellectual, spiritual, social, economical, political and scientific society that will enrich the nation and then the world. Objectives of Acharyakulam : 1. To prepare Vaidic scholars- To prepare proven scholars in Grammer, Philosophy, Upnishad, Veda, Vaidic literature, Vaidic Mathematics, Indian proven history and Raj Dharma etc. and to prepare graduates with the power to give social, spritual, econimical, scientific and political ideas leadership. 2. To prepare leaders of modern Bharat- To prepare intellectuals and national leaders who can set new landmarks in different fields like: Technology, Management, Defence, Administrative Services, Police Services, Medicine, Engeering, Games and Sports, Fine Arts, Music, Drama, Agriculture, Industry, Research, etc. We will be instilling in the young minds the glory, utility and attraction of both the expectations. Then a child will get prepared according to his/her
  • 11. Karmashaya, Sanskar and Svabhava. Pujya Swamiji believes that the possibility of reformation in a child decreases by one percent with every passing year of age. And generally from every aspect a child becomes enlightened by one percent every year. But with the help of intellectual efforts we can develop this enlightenment physically, intellectually and spiritually by one to ten percent. Expected behavior of the members of Acharyakulam family: 1. Aspect of Knowledge- To enhance intellectual development of a child is our primary goal. 2. Aspect of Behavior – To ensure that a child remains 100% free from macro behavioral vices. And being aware of the micro vices, he/she endeavors with full determination and honesty to get rid of the same so that we can take pride in saying, "We at Acharyakulam are following the path of our attitude and values as expected from ideal angels, children of Rishi-Rishikas, Veer-Veeranganas and the greatest children of Bharatmata. We should have a strong morale against unethical conduct. We should have the same hatred against micro vices like desire, despair, insistence, impulse, reaction, etc. as we have against macro vices like non-vegetarian diet, malpractices, depravity, violence, addition, etc. We should not welcome any unethical conduct, though it is true that, our Sanskaras and Karmashaya instilled in our soul from previous lives and our attitude and nature of the present life will stand as the biggest challenges in front of us.
  • 12. However, with awakened consciousness, firm determination and enthusiasm and with practice of yoga, devotion and such other methods we can come out of such difficulties and make our evil sanskaras ineffective. Faculty : Great importance is attached to the quality of the staff at Acharyakulam. Trained, highly qualified and experienced teachers are appointed to impart education. Compassion, devotion to duties, good manners, helpfulness, dedication and strong belief in spiritualism are some of the prerequisites of teachers at Acharyakulam. Enhancement of teacher’s skills is a constant phenomenon here. Since teachers live on the campus, there is an open teacher-taught interaction. The teachers interact with the students to give them the much-needed academic and emotional support to make them feel at home.
  • 13. 1. As the pathfinder of a different education system Acharyakulam integrates the eternal and sacred heritage of oral Vaidic learning along with the latest developments in modern education in a world class leaning ambience, facilities with the best hi-tech multimedia learning tools with NCERT syllabus. 2. As a part of traditional Vaidic Gurukul system the children master the subjects ranging from Sanskrit, Veda-Vedangas, Upanishad, Vaidic Mathematics, Philosophy, etc. Same way as part of modern education they also develop proficiency in English languages, English conversation, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, Art & Craft, Sports, etc. However, inculcationg Vaidic Culture, Ethics and Sanskaras lies at the centre of the whole concept. 3. Multifaceted and Comprehensive development of the individual’s personality is the objective of education. A truly holistic development – i.e. the development of physical, intellectual, spiritual and emotional faculties od a child is the goal here at Acharyakulam and regular practice of yoga and hawan by the whole of its family plays a significant role to achieve this goal. 4. As part of Rishi tradition of our country all the Rishiputras & Rishikanyas of Acharyakulam have their Upnayan Sanskar before Vedarambh. 5. Acharyakulam is a confluence of the best of the Eastern and the Western systems and concepts of Education. 6. With special emphasis on sirituality and character building, Acharyakulam has been established as the breeding ground for Social and National leaders of tomorrow. 7. To inculcate the indomitable love for the Motherland and the Mother Nature the young children here are taught how to follow Swadeshi way of life based on Yoga and Ayurveda with satvik and nutritious food.
