Using OOTB solutions or creating a custom implementation is up to you.
1) Do planning and approvals outside of PLMand then only run “Change Orders” in Aras to execute on the planned changes and document(s) changed.In this case the Simple Change Process or Manual Revision and Release are what you want to use.2) Do planning as part of the Change Management Process inside PLMand document the planning & approvals – “Change Request / Impact”, as well as, execution of “Change Orders” in Aras.In this case change mechanisms you need a solution that supports planning and documenting your change actions and decisions. It should also allow change impact analysis. Either CMII or the Express Change Process may suit.3) Some companies need a special and highly customized change process because of internal processes, product complexity, competitive advantage, legislation, etc.Aras provides Out-of-the-Box (OOTB) functionalitythat supports approach 1) and 2). Aras is flexible enough to implement a totally custom 3) change process using data modeling, life cycles and workflows.
At a high level: Multiple PRs can be mapped to an ECR and multiple ECRs can be mapped to an ECN that finalizes the change process.
