SEPTEMBER 2012
OLD FRIENDS AND NEW HONORS
Annika is happy to be back for some family time in Orlando after a great trip to
Sweden and Norway; playing with friends Yani Tseng, Lorena Ochoa and Suzann
Pettersen at the Suzann Pro Challenge in Oslo was a perfect way to end her
Scandinavian visit. Did you catch Morning Drive last week? Annika co-hosted with
Gary Williams and Trevor Immelman in Orlando and had a lot of fun; be sure to tune in
every Thursday from 7-9 a.m. Eastern Time. This Saturday evening, Annika will be
inducted into the Central Florida Sports Hall of Fame as part of the SPORTYS. She
joins past inductees, including Arnold Palmer, Dot Richardson, Nick Anderson,
Chipper Jones and Doc Rivers, who were honored for their distinguished
accomplishments within professional and amateur sports. The SPORTYS recognize top
area teams, athletes, coaches, local residents and businesses in Central Florida; check
our social media for photos and details following the event. Read More.
3RD ANNUAL JUNIOR DAY
We are so excited to welcome Bob and Kelly Baxter to town to honor the memory of
Holly Baxter with the third annual ANNIKA Junior Day at the ANNIKAAcademy this
Saturday. We will host 40 kids from the Orlando Minority Youth Golf Association for a
morning session. We’ll be joined for lunch by another 40 kids from the Kissimmee
Boys & Girls Clubs who will then go on to have an afternoon session, and a clinic with
Annika. ANNIKA Junior Day in Memory of Holly Baxter is made possible by Bob
Baxter, whose family offered a significant gift to the ANNIKA Foundation to
commemorate the life of his wife, Holly Baxter, who was a passionate supporter of
both junior golf and Annika.Read More.

LPGA Championship in a row. The Academy team has had a great summer sharing

GET ACTIVE!
According to a report released this week by the Trust for America’s Health and the
Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, about half of the U.S. adult population could be
considered obese by 2030 if current trends continue. September is National Childhood
