2. Jennifer O’Connell
As the federal representative for Pickering-Uxbridge, I was delighted
at the opportunity to showcase Pickering’s award-winning Library to
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau earlier this spring. The Pickering Public
Library has evolved into an accessible and innovative learning hub for
the entire community to enjoy.
The new Maker Space is an extraordinary cutting-edge space where
residents of all ages, backgrounds and abilities can visit to learn a new
skill or bring an idea to life through the many resources available such
as specialized computer programs, printers, sewing machines, a sound
booth, 3D printers, and many more. The possibilities are endless!
