well as constantly expanding
the assortment of welding
equipment!
Over a long period of time, the Plant dealt
with the supply of either highly specialized
equipment or the serial production of
transformers and other welding equipment for
the domestic and foreign enterprises of different
economic branches. In the 90s, the Plant
independently developed and started the serial
production of the most demanded transformers,
rectifiers, and semiautomatic machines.
In 2006, Paton Plant developed the serial
production of inverting devices of manual arc
welding and began to produce the welding
electrodes in 2012.
Today, the Plant is one of the market leaders
producing the welding machines on the territory
of Ukraine and CIS countries while introducing
Pilot Plant of Welding Equipment of the E.O. Paton Institute of Electric Welding (Paton Plant)
was founded in January of 1959 as a part of the development shop dealing with the adoption
of technologies and equipment for different kinds of welding, which were developed by EWI
and Experimental Design-Technological Office of the E.O. Paton Electric Welding Institute of
the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.

end of his life.
The founders and ideological inspirers of the plant are Evgenii Oskarovich and
Boris Evgeniiovich Paton — outstanding scientists in the field of welding
and metallurgy.

All welding equipment and electrodes of PATON™ are produced in
Ukraine within own plant facilities while involving more than 300
highly qualified specialists every day as well as ensuring the orders
for more than 70 Ukrainian partner enterprises, which provide the
raw materials, components, and services.

8. Approximately 80% of all welding works
preformed in the course of industrial
connections welding are carried out by
means of arc welding. However, the large
currents necessary for the welding are
received not from the ordinary current
transformer but from the more reliable
and high-technology machine, i.e. welding
inverter. Paton Plant produces the wide
range of inverter rectifiers to solve any
tasks.

The inverter semiautomatic machines
of PATON™ possess the number of
advantages such as all-digital control
mode, safe metal wire feeder unit,
numerous auxiliary functions, as well as
possibility to use the burners of all types
because of available CEE plug. The inverter
semiautomatic machines are of Standard
and Professional series thus providing an
opportunity to select the optimal model
due to the user needs.
The argon arc welding machine is designed
to weld the parts from the stainless
and alloy steel, as well as aluminum-
magnesium alloys while ensuring the
reliability and longevity of welding
joints. Considering such wide spectrum
of possibilities, the welding argon arc
machines of PATON™ are used in the
aircraft industry, shipbuilding, medicine,
automotive industry and other branches.
The plasma cutting ensures the high-class
productivity, opportunity to work with
the different metals, the high accuracy
and safety. Moreover, the plasma cutting
guarantees the more qualitative cut without
overheating, rush and fen drossing. Thus,
the cut doesn’t require the additional
processing. In such a case, just cut area
is mainly influenced by the basic thermal
effect so that the metal is hardly subject
to the thermal deformation. PATON™ PRI-
40S plasma cutter allows the replacing of
inefficient and dangerous angle grinder.

The direct current welding is used to
weld the highly sensitive pieces requiring
the special-quality welding connection.
PATON™ classic rectifiers operate from the
conventional welding current ranging from
310A to 500A being used for the manual
arc welding, cutting and overlaying of the
metal structures and parts, particularly in
the supersevere working conditions such as
metallurgic, ore mining, chemical industry,
as well as under field conditions when
performing the assembly and repair works
on the oil and gas pipes.
The special transformers are used as
the power sources when performing the
alternating current welding works. The
professional welding transformers produced
by PATON™ operate from the conventional
welding current of 315A and 400A being
equipped with the welding arc burn
stabilizer. They are meant for the manual
arc welding of carbon steels and various
aluminium alloys.
The distinctive feature of these transformers
consists in the possibility to smoothly control
the welding current with the help of movable
magnetic shunt.
The classic automatic machines or self-
powered welding heads are considered to
be irreplaceable when welding the highly
sensitive structures.
Our self-powered welding heads are
intended for the high-production
submerged arc welding of drawing
fillet. PATON™ automatic machines are
high-duty ones because the module that
controls the welding process is designed
on the modern element base thus ensuring
the accurate control of preset parameters.
The automatic machine provides an
opportunity to perform the welding
operations in three different modes without
stopping the welding process.
The multioperator power sources are
irreplaceable in the course of substantial
construction, as well as when performing
the welding operations in the supersevere
conditions (open-cuts, mines, pipeline
routes).
We offer the wide range of equipment for
the multiple-operator welding: rectifiers
with the magnetic or electronic control,
as well as the reliable time-proved ballast
resistors produced by PATON™.
