Social Media- Is it for Sales or Brand Awareness?
Social media – a place to begin and build relationships with the desired
people depending on the type of business you follow. Following a
proper social media channel helps your business to get into new
engagement and increase your productivity.
Well, if you want your business to grow wider in social media you
need to focus on the face of your brand online, as it is a great way to
interact with your customers about the brand for the first time. Brands
are considered to be the personality of a business.
For many, social media is for creating brand awareness and for some is
to find and engage with new prospects.
 Building awareness of your brand: Social media is all about
following the latest trends in the market. A buzz of a small product
or service can make it to the highest selling product. And this can
happen only if you create awareness of your brand. Social sharing
is a must to increase the visibility of your brand as it can reach
more than the targeted audience. Creating contests also leads to
increase more followers as people love to win something for
nothing. Likewise creating fresh contents using hashtags,
interaction with the people with likes, shares, and reposts to show
your audience that you find valuable in what they say, asking
questions to your followers shows that you are interested in them
and hence creates a good impression of your brand and so on. All
this creates awareness of the brand and overtime increased use of
the website.
 Providing the brand its proper value through sales: Social
media is always at the top of the marketing funnel. It’s a fact that
creating brand awareness in social media has a direct impact on the
increase of sales. The more you promote your brand the more you
can boost your sales with higher return on investment (ROI). For
example, a brand like Lee Cooper earn their sales in millions, and
it’s because people are aware of their brand. Whatever brand we
try to promote in social media in the end it tries to attract the
customer’s attention and hence increase their sales and profit.
So, is it just Sales or Brand Awareness?
The effect of social media on brand awareness is maximum, as
without the promotion of brand there is no impact on the business. But
continuous use of social media helps in brand promotion and thus leads
to increase of sales. It doesn’t depend on what social media channels we
choose, as in one way or the other sales can be increased depending on
the type of contributing factors.
