2. What is Leukemia?
• Leukemia is a cancer
that starts in blood-
forming tissue such
as the bone marrow
and causes large
numbers of abnormal
blood cells to be
produced and enter
the blood.
3. Types of Leukemia
• There are two types of Leukemia:
• Chronic leukemia: It is when you don’t have the
symptoms but it is still there. By the time, it
starts growing and it makes you sicker.
• Acute leukemia: The leukemia cells can't do any
of the work of normal white blood cells. The
number of leukemia cells increases rapidly and it
usually worsens quickly.
