and values from one generation to another.
 Education is a concept, referring to the
process in which students can learn
something.
 Teachers need to understand a subject
enough to convey its essence to students.
 In traditional way it includes lecturing on the
part of the teacher.
 new instructional strategies such as team-
based learning put the teacher more into the
role of course designer, discussion facilitator,
& coach and the student more into the role of
active learner, discovering the subject of the
course.
 The power of digital world lies in the huge amount of
resources that fill its nooks and corners.
 Technology is an increasingly influential factor in
education.
 Computers and mobile phones are used to complement
established education practices and develop new ways
of learning such as online education.
 Technology gives students the opportunity to choose
what they are interested in learning.
 Technology offers powerful learning tools that demand
new skills and understandings of students, including
Multimedia, and provides new ways to engage students,
such as Virtual learning environments
 The Web Technology is transforming the overall
education structure in many facets.
 The students can use web technology to access
information resources through the Internet, they can
use web based learning programme 24x7
 Web Applications facilitate them for providing online
content to the students and the facilitator will also be
there to help them out
 This scenario is similar to the class room interaction;
but here the facilitator can facilitate to the large number
of user spread across the geographical locations.
 Web Technology is now the need of the hour; to bring
best of the best training to the mass number of
students in a short time.

There are many kinds of computer and non-computer
technologies currently in use in traditional classrooms
 Class Blogs and Wikis: These are some of a variety of Web 2.0
tools that are currently being implemented in the classroom.
Blogs allows to maintain a running dialogue, like a journal, of
thoughts, ideas, and assignments that also provide for
student comment and reiterative reflection.
 Wireless Classroom Microphones: Noisy classrooms are a
daily occurrence, and with the help of microphones, students
are able to hear their teachers clearer. Children learn better
when they hear the teacher clearly. The benefit for teachers is
that they no longer lose their voices at the end of the day.
 Mobile devices: Smartphone can be used to enhance the
experience in the classroom by providing the possibility for
professors to get feedback and offer vide variety of learning
materials through apps, online videos.
 LMS : Learning Management System helps students to learn
any topic as per their convenience along with evaluation and
monitoring.

 Easy-to-access course materials. Instructors can post the
course material or important information on a course website,
