Hong Kong
QNET Hong Kong staff partnered with
RYTHM Foundation to raise funds for the
Hong Chi Pinehill Preschool Centre by
baking and preparing treats and drinks,
and selling them to their co-workers and to
QNET Independent Representatives. They
also celebrated Flag Day by selling flags to
passers-by at Causeway Bay in order to
generate funds for EFC of China, an NGO.

3. A Special Time at the Zoo
The mentors and mentees of Vijayaratnam
Foundation‟s FOOTPRINTS Mentoring
Programme in Malaysia had the wildest
time of their lives during their visit to Zoo
Negara. They prepared food for the
animals, played games with them and
shared their knowledge about the animals
with each other.

5. A New Taekwondo Milestone
for Agathians Shelter Boys
The Agathians Shelter boys, who have
been undergoing Taekwondo training for
the past three years under the
patronage of Vijayaratnam Foundation,
have indeed grown by leaps and
bounds in terms of their skills as well as
the colours of their belts, according to
the Taekwondo Malaysia examiner who
did their recent grading.

7. Merdeka Raya Open House

To celebrate Merdeka and Raya, QNET
selected 15 underprivileged families as
recipients of „hampers‟, each containing three
big bags of essential goods (rice, flour, sugar,
biscuits, oil, can food, instant noodles, milo,
milk, etc). The hampers, which were donated
by Independent Representatives and staff,
were presented by several network leaders
including V Partner Sathi Senathirajah.

02 Karet Kuningan-Setiabudi on an educational

9. Life Education for the Girls
of Moravinna
Staff of our affiliate company in Sri Lanka
celebrated World Education Day at the
orphanage. The girls watched the
educational movie “Abaa” which tells the
stories of the ancient kings of Sri Lanka;
had a decoration contest; enjoyed their
group and solo dance performances;
and, were given a lecture on personal
hygiene and nutrition.

10. Books for the Salvation
Army Boys Home
Quest International University Perak (QIUP)
planned a month-long campaign to collect
books from its students and staff. A total of
500 books for all age groups were collected,
most of which were brand new. Even the
recycled books were still in very good
condition. Twenty QIUP employees visited
the home to hand over the collected books.

QNET Thailand staff took 30 girls from
Ratjavithi Home for Girls to an exciting
journey deep underwater at Siam Ocean
World where they got to see, among
many things, a live shark-feeding and a
dance routine headlined by a shark, a
penguin, a stingray and two otters.
13. Disaster Preparedness
Training for Sagad High
School Students
QNET Philippines staff brought representatives
of the Emergency Response Team of the
Philippines to educate and train the students
and teachers of Sagad High School in Pasig
City on the proper responses and safety
measures during natural calamities. 200 of the
students were also given survival kits each
containing rice, mung beans, a whistle, a
flash light, a trash bag, and a first aid kit.
