Scholastic provides this blog, and a ton of others, which lead too free resources for their lessons. There are different examples from all grade levels. Teachers can use the work from other grade levels for differentiation in their classroom. They can also take other examples and adapt them to fit what their students need.

This video can be used in a classroom with students watching it by themselves, or working with a partner. This video is not that lengthy, so it will be able to keep the students attention. Another great asset to this video that a teacher can used is there is a practice quiz provided to the students after they have completed the video. Bill Nye the Science Guy videos are fun videos that explain topics to students. These are good videos to show to students because they explain new topics in a fun way. Students typically enjoy watching Bill Nye because his videos are silly, fun and interacting.

I could not use Kidspiration because it would not download on my computer. Instead, I created a flow chart using shapes and textboxes on powerpoint.
This diagram could be used in an actual lesson to show the students how all parts of the water cycle work together. This diagram could also be used in a lesson to assess the students knowledge. The teacher could give the students the diagram and ask them to label condensation, evaporation and precipitation. This visual enhances students understanding of the topic because it shows them exactly how all parts work together. It is also beneficial to those students who are visual learners.

This is a safe and reliable app that students can use while they are working independently either at their desk or in a station.

This site also has features such as allowing students to submit their homework. Teachers are also able to take attendance on the website. If a student is absent, a teacher will be able to get in contact with the student about any missed assignments. It is a good communication tool when students and teachers are not face to face.
