Deeply interested in programming and computer architecture since forever. I got my first chance to play with OS internals during university, and then Ph.D, with focus on the Linux kernel (http://www.kernel.org) and other Real-Time OSes. Still (quite happily) involved in low level programming, although in the Virtualization field, i.e., improving scheduling and memory management of the Xen-Project's Hypervisor (http://www.xen-project.org). Maintainer of scheduling (and couple of other components/subsystems), within Xen.
