ABOUT THE PROJECT
OmniCarft is an online sopping platform to buy and sell handmade paintings. In this project I used the ImaginXp’s
6D UX Process and other modern methodologies to solve the problems present in the existing online retail platform
of handmade paintings.
OmniCraft is an online shopping platform for all types of handmade paintings. Construction of this app will not only
help customers (Art lovers) but also it’ll create a platform for urban/rural artisans to showcase their art skills.
OmniCraft artisan App: Keeping in mind that rural artisans won’t have access to PC, so there will be a separate app
for artisans so that they can enlist their art works.
• App’s main goal is to create such a platform for monetizing handmade paintings as well as promoting rural/urban
artisan’s skills
• Include such features to make the user shopping experience unique
• Provide a virtual platform for independent rural/urban artisans to promote their business and to showcase their
skills

Key Takeaways from Stakeholder Interviews
After thoroughly analyzing the data collected from the Questionnaire, I have DISCOVERED the following
solutions that can be included in the new app.
• Since most people preferring custom sized painting, Maybe a feature like “Customize your painting” option
could be included along with predefined sizes
• Since both modern and old paintings are famous nowadays, we can enlist both types of paining in the app
• Handmade paintings are found pretty preferred than the Digital paintings
• Availability of variety no. of painting styles/Art forms and more painting images (Product images) would give
uses a good shopping experience
• Fast App’s Speed and simple UI would be better
• Great Quality of paintings should be enlisted while accepting orders from seller
• One of the main reason buyers aren’t satisfied with their shopping experience is that the painting which
they bought they didn’t suited well with wall colors/interiors. So by providing any feature where they can
preview paintings would give them the opportunity to make right decisions.

Mapping
Product AR mode:
It’s that exact feature that people want when they wonder how certain paintings would look in their room. With
augmented reality we can play around with different painting styles and size accurate virtual items. The app lays
models over real-time video of the interior. We look at a smartphone/tablet screen and see the result. Other
characteristics include:
• 3D models of products in HD
• Manipulation: move, rotate, scale
• Room dimensions scanning
• Special AR models enacted with a printed catalog
• More accurate positioning in iOS app due to AR Kit use
Religious/Community Category:
This category will help to fetch specific art forms of a particular community like Hindu god paintings, Islamic
calligraphic paintings , Buddha meditation paintings and Jesus Crucifixion paints etc.
Ideation Workshops Buyer App’s Key Features
In this workshop I have done a lot of BRAINSTORMING, surfed different online portals. Also I have discussed WITH
IDEAL CUSTOMERS (who matches previously done personas). Keeping in mind the previously collected data I came up
with the following features which could be implemented in OmniCraft's Buyer and Seller(Artisan) App
Videos Category:
This category will give users to new shopping experience, Because they will be able to see how BTS of particular
paintings, and those paintings will be displayed below the video for better conversion. Along with these there will be
videos about tips, advice on Interior décor home/office etc.
Engagement features:
In addition to main functionality, We’ll in all the modern attributes to stay relevant among users. Such user engagement
features are welcome in any other app, either AR app or any other type of app:
• Social sharing of mock-up designs
• Blogs articles for sharing art stories/tips etc.
• Reviews and comments section
• Push notifications for discounts, special deals, etc.
Seller Place (Android app for artisans/sellers):
Since Rural and some urban artisan won’t have access to iPhone devices, they only have access to android smartphone.
So there will be an separate android app for artisans/sellers who want to sell their paintings in India and abroad.
• For enlisting paintings
• Insights (Check sales and other analytics)
• Notifications and Messages
• User profile/account
Technological Constraints
For many brands, augmented reality is expensive or technologically hard to pull off. That changed on12th Sept 2017,
when Apple introduced iOS 11, which makes it easier and faster for developers to build AR into their apps.
Augmented reality (AR) application will allow users to see paintings in real time through Apple iOS 11’s AR Kit
technology. The iPhone- and iPad-compatible free application features realistically-rendered, true-to-scale 3D products.
The app will automatically scales paintings, based on room dimensions.
To develop such an app for a particular platform (Android/iOS/Windows Phone) we should know what technology and
tools to use.
• ASP. Net, HTML5, Java, List.js, jQuery, Hotjar and things like that.
• Unity3D is an advanced virtual gaming engine supporting 2D/3D graphics. With its convenient drag-and-drop interface
and lots of features it is perfect to build augmented reality products.
• Open source AR Kit by Apple made AR more available, as IKEA acknowledges. Together with iOS 11 SDK and Xcode 9 it
allows creating AR apps like IKEA in particular. It implies visual inertial odometry (VIO) and Core Motion – for tracking
and camera data, as 2 main inputs. Also, now iPhones and iPads are able to analyze scenes and detect horizontal
planes.

Note: Seller app’s other pages (Product

are pretty similar to any of the existing selling
apps’ of an e-commerce company. I just
wanted highlight the unique feature in the

In this project I used the ImaginXp’s 6D UX Process and other modern methodologies to solve the problems present in the existing online retail platform of handmade paintings. OmniCraft is an online shopping platform for all types of handmade paintings. Construction of this app will not only help customers (Art lovers) but also it’ll create a platform for urban/rural artisans to showcase their art skills. OmniCraft artisan App: Keeping in mind that rural artisans won’t have access to PC, so there will be a separate app for artisans so that they can enlist their art works. • App’s main goal is to create such a platform for monetizing handmade paintings as well as promoting rural/urban artisan’s skills • Include such features to make the user shopping experience unique • Provide a virtual platform for independent rural/urban artisans to promote their business and to showcase their skills ABOUT THE APPLICATION GOALS OBJECTIVE

We look at a smartphone/tablet screen and see the result. Other characteristics include: • 3D models of products in HD • Manipulation: move, rotate, scale • Room dimensions scanning • Special AR models enacted with a printed catalog • More accurate positioning in iOS app due to AR Kit use Religious/Community Category: This category will help to fetch specific art forms of a particular community like Hindu god paintings, Islamic calligraphic paintings , Buddha meditation paintings and Jesus Crucifixion paints etc. Ideation Workshops Buyer App’s Key Features In this workshop I have done a lot of BRAINSTORMING, surfed different online portals. Also I have discussed WITH IDEAL CUSTOMERS (who matches previously done personas). • 44. Technological Constraints For many brands, augmented reality is expensive or technologically hard to pull off. That changed on12th Sept 2017, when Apple introduced iOS 11, which makes it easier and faster for developers to build AR into their apps. Augmented reality (AR) application will allow users to see paintings in real time through Apple iOS 11’s AR Kit technology. The iPhone- and iPad-compatible free application features realistically-rendered, true-to-scale 3D products. The app will automatically scales paintings, based on room dimensions. To develop such an app for a particular platform (Android/iOS/Windows Phone) we should know what technology and tools to use. • ASP. Net, HTML5, Java, List.js, jQuery, Hotjar and things like that. • Unity3D is an advanced virtual gaming engine supporting 2D/3D graphics. With its convenient drag-and-drop interface and lots of features it is perfect to build augmented reality products. • Open source AR Kit by Apple made AR more available, as IKEA acknowledges. Together with iOS 11 SDK and Xcode 9 it allows creating AR apps like IKEA in particular. It implies visual inertial odometry (VIO) and Core Motion – for tracking and camera data, as 2 main inputs. Also, now iPhones and iPads are able to analyze scenes and detect horizontal planes.
