established in May 30, 2003.

– Shanghai South Railway Station Square Investment Co. Ltd.
– Dazhong Transporation (Group) Co. Ltd.
– Shanghai Jiaoyun Bus Passenger (Group) Co. Ltd.
– Shanghai Jinjiang Automobile Services Co. Ltd.
• The company has a capital base of ¥75 million and key business include station
management, inter-provincial high speed, inter-provincial coach, inter-
provincial coach, chartered bus transport, cargo agents and property
management.

4. South Long Distance Bus Station
• Total area of 4,000 Sq. Meters

5. South Long Distance Bus Station
• Bus station is based on ‘Shanghai Urban Master Plan’ and ‘Shanghai
Highway Main Hub General Planning’ and the construction of national-
level station.
• Capital Investment: For the construction, A total amount ¥200 million
was invested, of which ¥75 million was paid by from the govt. and ¥125
million was taken in the form of loan.
– After 5 years of operation, the company has paid back
¥95 million
• Expenditure
– Capital expenditure – by Govt.
– Operational expenditure – No subsidy from the govt.
• Market Approach: Bus station follows target market approach like
serving passengers which are not served by railways and planes.

Shanghai Nanzhan Logistics Co. Ltd.
– It registered capital of 1.5 million, of which the company
owned 75%, is mainly responsible for the consignment of
luggage and parcel services.
• On October 1, 2006, Shanghai Nanzhan Long-distance Passenger
Transportation Co. Ltd. work with the Shanghai Tour Bus Center
established Shanghai Tour Bus Center (South branch)

• The bus station handles 30,000
passengers and manage 1200
buses in a day .
• In 2009, sent 320,000 buses,
passenger’s 6.03 million in total.

companies. There is some qualification criteria and the bus
company should offer certain level of business.
– The bus company needs to operate buses as per the technical
specification and technology issued by the station manager.

13. Self–Storage Cabin
• The company has self storage
cabin placed in the bus station.
• Passengers can put their
baggage in the boxes by paying
nominal fees.
• All these cabin are locked with a

• It has 26 tickets counters.
• The pricing of fare is decided by the government. The station can
charge 10% as administration fee. This regulation is enacted by
Ministry of transport.
