INTRODUCTION
• Rotary screen printing is so
named because it uses a
cylindrical screen that rotates
in a fixed position rather than a
flat screen that is raised and
lowered over the same print
location. Rotary presses place
the squeegee within the
screen. These machines are
designed for roll to roll printing
on fabric ranging from narrow
to wide-format textiles. In
rotary printing, the fabric
travels at a consistent speed.
FEATURES
• Floating bearing system.
• Very easy handling of
screen.
• Space savings.
• Micro gearing
synchronization device.
• Easy Screen running due
to1:1 gear ratio.
• Any repeat possible
between 500 and 1018 mm.
• Stepless width variation
between maximum and
minimum printing width.

FABRIC PATH DIAGRAM
PROCESS DESCRIPTION
The process involves initially feeding fabric onto the rubber
blanket. As the fabric travels under the rotary screens, the
screens turn with the fabric.
Print paste is continuously fed to the interior of the screen
through a color bar or pipe.
As the screen rotates, the squeegee device pushes print paste
through the design areas of
the screen onto the fabric. The fabric then passes into a drying
oven, cured to set the
color and washed. Each individual design consists of individual
screen.
PROBLEMS IN SCREEN PRINTING
• 1. Choking of screens
• 2. Misfitting of the design
• 3. Conveyor stain
• 4. Blanket stain
• 5. Pinholes
• 6.improper curing
• 7.Dye migration
CONCLUSION
The rotary screen printing machine, developed in the
1960s.is the most popular device for screen printing in the
industry. Screen printing on garments currently accounts
for ever half of the screen printing activity.
