Distribution Engineer 08/88 – 03/96
Major responsibilities include: Planning and supervision of the construction, operation and conservation of
the electrical distribution and transmission systems in the Bayamón Technical District. Investigation and
analysis of customer claims, and accidents associated with PREPA’s properties and infrastructure.
Underground Distribution Systems Design Department – Supervisor 03/96 – 06/98
Major responsibilities include:
Planning and design of distribution feeders for new 13.2 kV PREPA’s Power Substations at Vega Baja,
Dorado Pueblo, Dorado TC, Guaynabo, Manatí, Yauco, Guayama, and Covadonga GIS-San Juan.
Design of new 38 kV underground lines: Line 5800 from San Fernando to Hato Rey GIS, New 38 kV line
from Dorado TC to Dorado Pueblo, and Rearrangement 38 kV Lines Entrance to Covadonga GIS-San Juan.
Endorsement Department – Supervisor 06/98 – 11/99
Major responsibilities include: Verification and approval of electrical designs, submitted by private designers
and developers.
Distribution Engineering Superintendent 11/99 – 04/03
Major responsibilities include: Supervise the Endorsement Department and Underground Design
Department. Coordinate with government agencies and consultants the development of new public and
private projects. Provide technical support to different departments of PREPA, Government Agencies and
Private Corporations. Revision of existing construction standards and manuals. Development of new
technical applications and standards.
Design Department Superintendent 04/03 – 03/10
Major responsibilities include: Supervise the design, verification and approval of plans assigned to the
Department, which include electrical, mechanical, civil, and architectural areas. Provide technical support to
Construction, Operation, and Planning Divisions of PREPA.
