As Associate Dean Academic Programs for the Fogelman College of Business and Economics at the
University of Memphis, I oversee the Executive MBA program. Roderick Head was in the first
graduating cohort, December 2012, under the current 17-month fall-to-fall structure.
Roderick was a unique addition to the program because of his media and entertainment background and
his natural leadership and analytical abilities. I have witnessed tremendous growth since meeting
Roderick in early 2011. In our efforts to develop an executive doctoral program, Roderick was part of a
small EMBA alumni group that participated in a brainstorm session. He is skilled at identifying the
most important issues, even in the most complex situations. Highly thought of by faculty and
