Show Picture Slide 21
Hello everyone, I first want to thank you all
for being here today.
I will guarantee you, by the time this
webinar is over, you would have learnt
something that will change your business
Show Picture Slide 21
Why should you be on this webinar and
listen to what I am about to share with you
today?
Show Picture Slide 21
Why is it important that you learn how to
increase your store sales?
Show Picture Slide 21
If you are a retailers, except you have
been living under a rock, you know that
the retails environment is rapidly changing
Show Picture Slide 21
New technologies and the internet has
completely changed consumer buying
behaviour.
Entire retail categories are on the brink of
extinction
Show Picture Slide 21
Many books and entertainment retailers
will cease to exist in the next few years…
Many other retail categories will also
cease to exist…
Show Picture Slide 21
Or will cease to exist the way we know
them…
The scary news is, it could be your retail
category
Show Picture Slide 31
In the last few years we have witnessed
the demise of the UK high street.
In town after town, many high streets have
become ghost towns…
Show Picture Slide 31
As thousands of independent retailers
close shop.
It is not because people are not buying,
people are still buying…
Show Picture Slide 31
Recession be damned, people will still eat.
They will still wear clothes.
The only difference is people’s buying
behaviour have changed
Show Picture Slide 31
We now live in a new retail environment
In this new retail environment… old ways
of running a retail store will no longer
suffice
Show Picture Slide 31
Online shopping has already reached two
hundred and twelve billon USD in Europe
Show Picture Slide 31
And three hundred and six billon USD in
the US.
What this means is… a whole lot of people
are going to be doing their shopping from
the comfort of their homes…
Show Picture Slide 31
This is why it is very important you pay
your undivided attention to what I am
about to share with you.
Because if you learn what I am about to
teach you…
Show Picture Slide 31
You will be able to achieve your goals no
matter the changes taking placing in the
retail industry…
Show Picture Slide 31
But if you do not learn what I
am about to teach…
your store will end up with
one of those dreaded signs…
Show Picture Slide 49
Let me tell you a story to put our
discussions into context
Show Picture Slide 49
When I was conducting research for
my retail books, I visited Harrods.
I have heard a lot about Harrods, but
had not actually visited it.
Show Picture Slide 49
You can imagine my
anticipation and
apprehension at visiting
one of the most famous
retail stores….
Show Picture Slide 49
where royalties,
Hollywood A-list stars and
the “who is who” from
around the world go to
shopping.
Show Picture Slide 49
In my mind, everything in
Harrods was made of gold.
I even bought a special outfit
for the occasion to ensure I
was in sync with the royalties
and A-list stars.
Show Picture Slide 49
I was hoping I could
catch a glimpse of Roman
Abramovich and some of
his billionaire friends or
some Saudi prince.
Show Picture Slide 49
However, instead of
some Russian oligarch or
Middle Eastern Sheikh,
what caught my attention
was a bus.
Show Picture Slide 49
I had bought the identical
bus for my son from
ASDA. It was the same
bus in the same
packaging.
Show Picture Slide 49
An odd question popped
into my mind when I
noticed the bus: why is it
that the same bus…
Show Picture Slide 49
in the same packaging,
probably made in the
same factory in China, by
the same people…
Show Picture Slide 49
being sold in Harrods for
almost three times the
price it was sold for in
ASDA?
Show Picture Slide 49
ASDA sells toy bus.
Harrods sells classy toy
bus even if it is made in
the same factory in China.
Answer:
Show Picture Slide 49
ASDA sells toy bus.
Harrods sells classy toy
bus even if it is made in
the same factory in China.
Show Picture Slide 49
There is a difference, that
distinction is what I want to share
with you here today because there
in lies the key to increasing your
store sales
Show Picture Slide 49
You see what shoppers buy
from Harrods is not the crappy
made in China toy bus but the
experience
Show Picture Slide 49
The experience they
get from the process of
buying…
They pay for the
beautiful store design
Show Picture Slide 49
The attractive visual
merchandise display and
the exceptional customer
service they receive from
the sales assistants.
Show Picture Slide 42
Increasing retail sales require three
thing:
Beautiful store design
An attractive visual merchandise
display
Show Picture Slide 42
And Effective loss prevention
strategy
I will explain the loss prevention
aspect of the process later I know
because many of you might be
confused by its inclusion
How to increase retail sales:
Store
design
Visual
merchandise
display
Loss
prevention
Show Picture Slide 60
Quite recently in the UK, there has
been a battle going on between the
big four supermarket and the
German dual: Aldi and Lidl
Show Picture Slide 60
Aldi and Lidl have managed to cut
into the market share of the big for
supermarket.
In fact just this quarter, Tesco
posted it worst result in its history
Show Picture Slide 60
In response to the rise of Aldi and
Lidl, instead of the big four
supermarket coming up with
alternative strategies to counter
their rise, they decided to go into
price war.
Show Picture Slide 60
They are now in price war with
each other and in price war with
themselves.
The result they are all in trouble.
Show Picture Slide 60
The reason they chose price war
instead on coming with creative
strategies to counter the Germans
is that’s all they know.
They think that the only way on
increasing their store sales…
Show Picture Slide 60
Is to reduce price.
This is because they do not know
the things I am teaching you here
today.
No you do not need to reduce your
Show Picture Slide 60
20-30 percent of people will buy
based upon price.
But 70-80 percent of people will
buy based upon value…in retail
speak the experience
Supermarket price war
Show Picture Slide 64
So instead of focusing on reducing
your price, what you need to be
focusing on is how to create the
type of experience that will entice
customer to choose your store over
that of your competitor.
Show Picture Slide 64
Creating a good customer
experience requires:
Good store design
Attractive visual merchandising
display
Show Picture Slide 64
And effective loss prevention
strategy.
To create a beautiful store design
and an attractive visual
merchandising display, you need to
ask yourself these four question:
How to increase retail sales:
Store
design
Visual
merchandise
display
Loss
prevention
Show Picture Slide 70
Who you are going to sell to: your
target market
What you are going to sell to them:
Your marketing message:
How you are going to sell it to them:
Your marketing media
Show Picture Slide 70
For the majority of retailers, store
design means hiring a handful of
builders or carpenters to knock
together few shelves.
Show Picture Slide 70
However, a beautiful store
design is more than just
about shelves
Show Picture Slide 70
In the same token, visual
merchandising display is
not just about placing
merchandise on the store
floor.
Show Picture Slide 70
Good store design and attractive
visual merchandising display are
first and foremost about conversion
The process of store design and
visual merchandising must start with:
Who you
are going
to sell to?
What you
are going
to sell to
them
How you
are going
to sell it
to them
Show Picture Slide 75
Conversion in this sense is using
your store design and visual
merchandise display to catch
shoppers attention as they walk
pass your store
Show Picture Slide 75
Secondly, it is the ability to retain
them for long in the store…again
which depends upon your store
design and visual display…
Show Picture Slide 75
For example using the right colour
scheme in your store…
Designing your store to facilitate good
customer flow and
Easy access to merchandise
Show Picture Slide 75
Thirdly, it is about your ability to
persuade them to buy using contextual
display…good lighting system and
creative display
Conversion process is:
Attracting
customers to
your store
Retaining
them for
longer in the
store
Persuading
them to buy
Show Picture Slide 80
The fourth part of the conversion
process is the availability of
merchandise in the store.
The image you see is the picture I took
in one of the biggest retailer in the UK
Show Picture Slide 80
This was in the middle of summer, they
forget to order enough water in
preparation for the summer heat.
I mean this is a really big retailer, you
wonder how can they make such a
blunder?
Show Picture Slide 80
They just failed conversion 101, having
the damn goods in the store.
How can you convert shoppers if you
do not even have the goods in the
store?
Show Picture Slide 80
This is the loss prevention aspect of
the process, having the supply chain
and replenishment process.
Keep your promise to your
customers
Show Picture Slide 85
So what have we learnt?
We have learnt that increasing your store
sales is a two step process: Lead
generation:
Customer attraction: attracting customers
into the store as they walk pass it
Show Picture Slide 85
And Retaining them for long in the
store
Step two: conversion:
Persuading them to buy
And triggering automatic repeat
purchase.
Show Picture Slide 85
To achieve the above:
Attracting customers as they walk pass
your store
Retaining them for long in the store and
persuading them to buy,
You need:
Show Picture Slide 85
A beautiful store design
An attractive visual merchandising
display
And effective loss prevention strategy.
Review & Workshop
Show Picture Slide 92
You might be wondering to yourself
now well it was a great information, but
how do you design a beautiful store,
create an attractive visual
merchandising display or create an
effective loss prevention strategy?
Show Picture Slide 92
The answer to this question is in a
home study course we created entitled:
how to increase retail sales with store
design, visual merchandising display
and effective loss prevention strategy.
Show Picture Slide 92
The How to increase retail sales home study
course will show you how to:
Show Picture Slide 92
• Attract customers to your store
• Retain them for long in the store
• Persuade them to buy
• And trigger automatic repeat sales…
Show Picture Slide 92
So you can increase your store sales which will
result in increased profitability for you.
Providing you the resources to enjoy the
freedom for which you started your business.
Show Picture Slide 92
You will no longer need to worry about money to
buy stock and
you will not have to work ten fifteen hours a day
seven days a week and still not be able to afford
a holiday.
Show Picture Slide 95
It is broken into four modules…
In module one, I walk you step by step through
the process of identifying:
Show Picture Slide 95
• Your target market…who you are going to sell
to
• Your marketing message: what you are going
to sell to them
• And your marketing media: how you are going
to sell it to them
Module One
Show Picture Slide 97
• In module two you will learn the step by step
process for designing a beautiful store that
attract customers as they walk pass it
Module Two
Show Picture Slide 99
Module three walk you through the process of
creating an attractive visual merchandise
display that makes it possible for shoppers to
see all of the merchandise in your store to
persuade them to buy
Module Three
Show Picture Slide 118
And module four deals with profit…how to
reduce your shrinkage and increase your profit
margin.
Show Picture Slide 118
Most retail training programs charge hundreds
of pounds to teach you theories that have no
practical application in the real world of retailing.
Show Picture Slide 118
Worse of all many retail training programs are taught
by either professors who have never once in their
lives stood behind a store counter or people who
themselves failed at retailing.
How can someone who failed at something show you
how to succeed in it?
Show Picture Slide 118
This is not because they are bad trainers who
want to deceive you…
it is simply because they do not know the
fundamentals of increasing retail sales.
Show Picture Slide 118
There has never been a retail training that
combines store design, visual merchandising
display and loss prevention because no other
retail consultant know how to combine these
three to increase retail sales and profit.
Show Picture Slide 118
This is the first time in retailing history that a
retail training has focused on increasing retail
sale and profit with the combination of store
design, visual merchandise display and loss
prevention.
Secondly, there is no other retail training around
at this moment that shows you how to identify:
Show Picture Slide 118
Your Target market: Who you are going to sell to
Your marketing message: What you are going to sell to
them
Your marketing media: how you are going to sell it to them
Because not a lot of retail trainers know anything about
sales and marketing
Show Picture Slide 118
You cannot increase sale if you do not know
who you are going to sell to
neither can you increase sales without knowing
what you are going to sell to them or how you
are going to sell it to them.
Show Picture Slide 118
Shoppers these days buy for different reason
than they use to buy years ago.
Except you know those reasons, you will not be
able to get them into your store
Show Picture Slide 118
The how to increase retail sales home study course
was designed for retailer like you who cannot afford
to spend thousands of pounds to hire experts.
Imagine how much it would cost you if you had to
hire a retail consultant, a marketing expert, a visual
merchandiser and a store designer.
Show Picture Slide 118
With the how to increase retail sales home
study course, you will have in your hands a
marketing expert, a visual merchandiser, a
store design and retail consultant all in one.
Show Picture Slide 118
If you were to hire all four of those
professionals which is what you will need to
increase your sales and profit, you will shed
out a minimum of ten thousand pounds or
even more depending on the size of your
store.
Show Picture Slide 118
But don’t worry, you are not going to be
paying ten thousand pounds for the how to
increase retail sales home study course…
you are not even going to be paying five or
even a thousand pounds.

  • 21.
  • 22. Show Picture Slide 31 In the last few years we have witnessed the demise of the UK high street. In town after town, many high streets have become ghost towns…
  • 23. Show Picture Slide 31 As thousands of independent retailers close shop. It is not because people are not buying, people are still buying…
  • 24. Show Picture Slide 31 Recession be damned, people will still eat. They will still wear clothes. The only difference is people’s buying behaviour have changed

  • 31.
  • 32. Show Picture Slide 49 Let me tell you a story to put our discussions into context
  • 33. Show Picture Slide 49 When I was conducting research for my retail books, I visited Harrods. I have heard a lot about Harrods, but had not actually visited it.
  • 34. Show Picture Slide 49 You can imagine my anticipation and apprehension at visiting one of the most famous retail stores….
  • 35. Show Picture Slide 49 where royalties, Hollywood A-list stars and the “who is who” from around the world go to shopping.
  • 36. Show Picture Slide 49 In my mind, everything in Harrods was made of gold. I even bought a special outfit for the occasion to ensure I was in sync with the royalties and A-list stars.
  • 37. Show Picture Slide 49 I was hoping I could catch a glimpse of Roman Abramovich and some of his billionaire friends or some Saudi prince.
  • 38. Show Picture Slide 49 However, instead of some Russian oligarch or Middle Eastern Sheikh, what caught my attention was a bus.
  • 39. Show Picture Slide 49 I had bought the identical bus for my son from ASDA. It was the same bus in the same packaging.
  • 40. Show Picture Slide 49 An odd question popped into my mind when I noticed the bus: why is it that the same bus…
  • 41. Show Picture Slide 49 in the same packaging, probably made in the same factory in China, by the same people…
  • 42. Show Picture Slide 49 being sold in Harrods for almost three times the price it was sold for in ASDA?
  • 43. Show Picture Slide 49 ASDA sells toy bus. Harrods sells classy toy bus even if it is made in the same factory in China. Answer:
  • 44. Show Picture Slide 49 ASDA sells toy bus. Harrods sells classy toy bus even if it is made in the same factory in China.
  • 45. Show Picture Slide 49 There is a difference, that distinction is what I want to share with you here today because there in lies the key to increasing your store sales
  • 46. Show Picture Slide 49 You see what shoppers buy from Harrods is not the crappy made in China toy bus but the experience
  • 47. Show Picture Slide 49 The experience they get from the process of buying… They pay for the beautiful store design
  • 48. Show Picture Slide 49 The attractive visual merchandise display and the exceptional customer service they receive from the sales assistants.
  • 49.
  • 50. Show Picture Slide 42 Increasing retail sales require three thing: Beautiful store design An attractive visual merchandise display
  • 51. Show Picture Slide 42 And Effective loss prevention strategy I will explain the loss prevention aspect of the process later I know because many of you might be confused by its inclusion
  • 52. How to increase retail sales: Store design Visual merchandise display Loss prevention
  • 53. Show Picture Slide 60 Quite recently in the UK, there has been a battle going on between the big four supermarket and the German dual: Aldi and Lidl
  • 54. Show Picture Slide 60 Aldi and Lidl have managed to cut into the market share of the big for supermarket. In fact just this quarter, Tesco posted it worst result in its history
  • 55. Show Picture Slide 60 In response to the rise of Aldi and Lidl, instead of the big four supermarket coming up with alternative strategies to counter their rise, they decided to go into price war.
  • 56. Show Picture Slide 60 They are now in price war with each other and in price war with themselves. The result they are all in trouble.
  • 57. Show Picture Slide 60 The reason they chose price war instead on coming with creative strategies to counter the Germans is that’s all they know. They think that the only way on increasing their store sales…
  • 58. Show Picture Slide 60 Is to reduce price. This is because they do not know the things I am teaching you here today. No you do not need to reduce your
  • 59. Show Picture Slide 60 20-30 percent of people will buy based upon price. But 70-80 percent of people will buy based upon value…in retail speak the experience
  • 61. Show Picture Slide 64 So instead of focusing on reducing your price, what you need to be focusing on is how to create the type of experience that will entice customer to choose your store over that of your competitor.
  • 62. Show Picture Slide 64 Creating a good customer experience requires: Good store design Attractive visual merchandising display
  • 63. Show Picture Slide 64 And effective loss prevention strategy. To create a beautiful store design and an attractive visual merchandising display, you need to ask yourself these four question:
  • 64. How to increase retail sales: Store design Visual merchandise display Loss prevention
  • 65. Show Picture Slide 70 Who you are going to sell to: your target market What you are going to sell to them: Your marketing message: How you are going to sell it to them: Your marketing media
  • 66. Show Picture Slide 70 For the majority of retailers, store design means hiring a handful of builders or carpenters to knock together few shelves.
  • 67. Show Picture Slide 70 However, a beautiful store design is more than just about shelves
  • 68. Show Picture Slide 70 In the same token, visual merchandising display is not just about placing merchandise on the store floor.
  • 69. Show Picture Slide 70 Good store design and attractive visual merchandising display are first and foremost about conversion
  • 70. The process of store design and visual merchandising must start with: Who you are going to sell to? What you are going to sell to them How you are going to sell it to them
  • 71. Show Picture Slide 75 Conversion in this sense is using your store design and visual merchandise display to catch shoppers attention as they walk pass your store
  • 72. Show Picture Slide 75 Secondly, it is the ability to retain them for long in the store…again which depends upon your store design and visual display…
  • 73. Show Picture Slide 75 For example using the right colour scheme in your store… Designing your store to facilitate good customer flow and Easy access to merchandise
  • 74. Show Picture Slide 75 Thirdly, it is about your ability to persuade them to buy using contextual display…good lighting system and creative display
  • 75. Conversion process is: Attracting customers to your store Retaining them for longer in the store Persuading them to buy
  • 76. Show Picture Slide 80 The fourth part of the conversion process is the availability of merchandise in the store. The image you see is the picture I took in one of the biggest retailer in the UK
  • 77. Show Picture Slide 80 This was in the middle of summer, they forget to order enough water in preparation for the summer heat. I mean this is a really big retailer, you wonder how can they make such a blunder?
  • 78. Show Picture Slide 80 They just failed conversion 101, having the damn goods in the store. How can you convert shoppers if you do not even have the goods in the store?
  • 79. Show Picture Slide 80 This is the loss prevention aspect of the process, having the supply chain and replenishment process.
  • 80. Keep your promise to your customers
  • 81. Show Picture Slide 85 So what have we learnt? We have learnt that increasing your store sales is a two step process: Lead generation: Customer attraction: attracting customers into the store as they walk pass it
  • 82. Show Picture Slide 85 And Retaining them for long in the store Step two: conversion: Persuading them to buy And triggering automatic repeat purchase.
  • 83. Show Picture Slide 85 To achieve the above: Attracting customers as they walk pass your store Retaining them for long in the store and persuading them to buy, You need:
  • 84. Show Picture Slide 85 A beautiful store design An attractive visual merchandising display And effective loss prevention strategy.
  • 86. Show Picture Slide 92 You might be wondering to yourself now well it was a great information, but how do you design a beautiful store, create an attractive visual merchandising display or create an effective loss prevention strategy?
  • 87. Show Picture Slide 92 The answer to this question is in a home study course we created entitled: how to increase retail sales with store design, visual merchandising display and effective loss prevention strategy.
  • 88. Show Picture Slide 92 The How to increase retail sales home study course will show you how to:
  • 89. Show Picture Slide 92 • Attract customers to your store • Retain them for long in the store • Persuade them to buy • And trigger automatic repeat sales…
  • 90. Show Picture Slide 92 So you can increase your store sales which will result in increased profitability for you. Providing you the resources to enjoy the freedom for which you started your business.
  • 91. Show Picture Slide 92 You will no longer need to worry about money to buy stock and you will not have to work ten fifteen hours a day seven days a week and still not be able to afford a holiday.
  • 92.
  • 93. Show Picture Slide 95 It is broken into four modules… In module one, I walk you step by step through the process of identifying:
  • 94. Show Picture Slide 95 • Your target market…who you are going to sell to • Your marketing message: what you are going to sell to them • And your marketing media: how you are going to sell it to them
  • 96. Show Picture Slide 97 • In module two you will learn the step by step process for designing a beautiful store that attract customers as they walk pass it
  • 98. Show Picture Slide 99 Module three walk you through the process of creating an attractive visual merchandise display that makes it possible for shoppers to see all of the merchandise in your store to persuade them to buy
  • 100. Show Picture Slide 118 And module four deals with profit…how to reduce your shrinkage and increase your profit margin.
  • 101. Show Picture Slide 118 Most retail training programs charge hundreds of pounds to teach you theories that have no practical application in the real world of retailing.
  • 102. Show Picture Slide 118 Worse of all many retail training programs are taught by either professors who have never once in their lives stood behind a store counter or people who themselves failed at retailing. How can someone who failed at something show you how to succeed in it?
  • 103. Show Picture Slide 118 This is not because they are bad trainers who want to deceive you… it is simply because they do not know the fundamentals of increasing retail sales.
  • 104. Show Picture Slide 118 There has never been a retail training that combines store design, visual merchandising display and loss prevention because no other retail consultant know how to combine these three to increase retail sales and profit.
  • 105. Show Picture Slide 118 This is the first time in retailing history that a retail training has focused on increasing retail sale and profit with the combination of store design, visual merchandise display and loss prevention. Secondly, there is no other retail training around at this moment that shows you how to identify:
  • 106. Show Picture Slide 118 Your Target market: Who you are going to sell to Your marketing message: What you are going to sell to them Your marketing media: how you are going to sell it to them Because not a lot of retail trainers know anything about sales and marketing
  • 107. Show Picture Slide 118 You cannot increase sale if you do not know who you are going to sell to neither can you increase sales without knowing what you are going to sell to them or how you are going to sell it to them.
  • 108. Show Picture Slide 118 Shoppers these days buy for different reason than they use to buy years ago. Except you know those reasons, you will not be able to get them into your store
  • 109. Show Picture Slide 118 The how to increase retail sales home study course was designed for retailer like you who cannot afford to spend thousands of pounds to hire experts. Imagine how much it would cost you if you had to hire a retail consultant, a marketing expert, a visual merchandiser and a store designer.
  • 110. Show Picture Slide 118 With the how to increase retail sales home study course, you will have in your hands a marketing expert, a visual merchandiser, a store design and retail consultant all in one.
  • 111. Show Picture Slide 118 If you were to hire all four of those professionals which is what you will need to increase your sales and profit, you will shed out a minimum of ten thousand pounds or even more depending on the size of your store.
  • 112. Show Picture Slide 118 But don’t worry, you are not going to be paying ten thousand pounds for the how to increase retail sales home study course… you are not even going to be paying five or even a thousand pounds.
