Quiz
It has three strategies
for SMART change.
Types
of I.D
 It composed of two words: Instruction and Design.
 To Derick Unnwin “it was concerned application of
modern skills and techniques of requirement of
education and training”.
 To David Merrill “Instructional Design is the process
of specifying
particular environmental situations which cause the learner
to interact in such a way that specified changes occurs in
his behavior”.
 It a systematic development using learning to ensure the
quality of instructions.

2010
History of Instructional Design
1950
Bloom published an influential taxonomy that has 3 learning
domain.
1960
Glaser introduced “criterion-referenced measures” and
Scriven suggested the need for formative assessment to try
out instructional materials for learners.

I.D
1970
The number of instructional design models greatly increased in
different sectors in military, academia and industry.
1980
Instructional design continue to be strong and there’s was little
evolution of ID in schools or higher education.
1990
The influence of constructivist theory on ID became more
prominent
Since 2010
Online learning became common. Technology advances permitted
sophisticated simulations with authentic and realistic learning
experiences.

Assumptions of Instructional Designs
Based on teaching
principle.
Easily accepts the
conceptual facts for
testing.
Computerized
designs supports
instructional
designs
Regulations and
structure are all
important to ID.
Patterns are
necessary for the
measurement of
ID.
Teaching is both
art and science.
Teacher is
developed
through effective
teaching.
All the phases are
important in ID.

Types of I.D Desired Learning Outcomes After studying this unit, the students will be able to:  Identify instructional designs and its assumptions.  Discover the different types and models of Instructional Designs.  Understand the Components and Principles of Instructional Designs.  Compose an essay by applying Instructional Design in their life.  Match correctly the Instructional Designs.
  • 3. Types of I.D both digital and physical, in a consistent and reliable fashion toward an efficient, effective, appealing, engaging and inspiring acquisition of knowledge. OVERVIEW Instructional design (ID), also known as instructional systems design is the practice of systematically designing, developing and delivering instructional products and instructional products and experiences,
  • 4. Instructional Design Assumptio ns of ID Types of ID Compone nts of ID Models of ID History of ID This is called as the fourth part of Educational Technology. It’s historically and traditionally Rooted in cognitive and Behavioral Psychology. Instructional designs are Consist of eight Assumptions. Instructional Design has Three types. It has four basic components. It consists of 5 models.
  • 5. Principles Of ID Reference s Models of I.D Strategie s Of ID It has five basic Principles. Prepare for 30-item quiz. Quiz It has three strategies for SMART change.
  • 6. Types of I.D  It composed of two words: Instruction and Design.  To Derick Unnwin “it was concerned application of modern skills and techniques of requirement of education and training”.  To David Merrill “Instructional Design is the process of specifying particular environmental situations which cause the learner to interact in such a way that specified changes occurs in his behavior”.  It a systematic development using learning to ensure the quality of instructions.
  • 7. Types of I.D Models of I.D 1950s 1960s 1970s 1980s 1990s Since 2010 History of Instructional Design 1950 Bloom published an influential taxonomy that has 3 learning domain. 1960 Glaser introduced “criterion-referenced measures” and Scriven suggested the need for formative assessment to try out instructional materials for learners.
  • 8. Types of I.D Models of I.D 1970 The number of instructional design models greatly increased in different sectors in military, academia and industry. 1980 Instructional design continue to be strong and there’s was little evolution of ID in schools or higher education. 1990 The influence of constructivist theory on ID became more prominent Since 2010 Online learning became common. Technology advances permitted sophisticated simulations with authentic and realistic learning experiences.
  • 9. Types of I.D Models of I.D Assumptions of Instructional Designs Based on teaching principle. Easily accepts the conceptual facts for testing. Computerized designs supports instructional designs Regulations and structure are all important to ID. Patterns are necessary for the measurement of ID. Teaching is both art and science. Teacher is developed through effective teaching. All the phases are important in ID.
