- Start with the why! Sell the benefits. WIIFM? Keeps clubs young and engaged with youth Access to potential new members Closer relationships with your community Links to other clubs Have an informed and enthusiastic YE Committee to deliver your message and action the process Provide a consistent clear message: clubs, presidents, info sessions Provide timely training to all stakeholders: F2F, online, skype, phone Have students present to clubs. Their story is powerful! Parents also have a powerful story to tell. Reward host parents with associate memberships - potential ongoing membership
- Get Presidents and Boards on board so they convince members Answer their questions. Promote a consistent clear message at every opportunity A leadership and development opportunity for a member/s of your club Have students to present to clubs. ASK clubs for involvement Clarify reciprocal program, cost, support and paperwork Build a data base of prospective host families. Approach schools, clubs, church groups etc Share hosting across clubs District incentives: subsidise ‘new clubs’ or welcome back to YE after 3 years out
