Franklin can focus whilst driving so the player is capable of taking the sharpest turns at full speed or even dodging a tank at high speed, Trevor can trigger the effect of “going psycho”, where Trevor takes less damage and dishes out extreme damage in combat.
Whilst playing as either of the three characters, the other two characters will continue living their lives on a day to day basis as in the real world. The player can switch to any of the three characters at any one time in game and will most likely be greeted with an amusing situation.
Each character has their own strengths and weaknesses, the character stats menu for each character shows Trevor is a better pilot, Franklin is the best driver and Michael is the more skilled shooter and infiltrator.
Each character aspires to become rich in the twisted city of Los Santos and the game has numerous ways of making money. Along side the story line, the player can buy and sell stocks, attempt multiple side missions specific to each character and even partake in robberies or boosting vehicles to make some quick cash.
The brand new map of Los Santos and Blaine county is huge, it is approximately 100 square miles and Los Santos alone is 21 square miles.
The map is packed with fun activities and amusing Easter eggs for every player to discover.
There are plenty of random encounters and misc. objectives players will come across and can decide whether to complete in free roam, from all over the huge map in game.
There is a massive variety of activities the player can take part in whilst in free roam, from vehicle races, parachuting and base jumping to deep sea diving the list is endless.
