Purpose of the Study
Urban development design with 52 parcels
A study of viability is needed to check the proper design of roads and the accesses to the
parcels due to the rough ground

The Road 1, the Road 4 and the Main Road have been modified to adjust to the maximum
to the contour lines
It has been done a detailed study of the surface with Civil 3d to check how it affects the
development and apply solutions

It has analysed all roads doing longitudinal and cross ground sections, keeping in
mind the plots accesses
It has proposed an grade line to each road trying to respect the Colombian Roads
Regulation who establishes as maximum slope 18% for tertiary roads and sheer
ground

Two study axes, one flows from the beginning of the road until the centre of the
roundabout and the other one is on the roundabout to study the two accesses
We put stations every 20 meters and in the accesses to parcels
Depending on the cut or fill height, we design retaining wall to avoid landslides
In the longitudinal section we observe the height of cut or fill necessary in the centre
of the road

covering completely the area overcoming 150
meters of difference of elevation
From 920 until 1,020 meters there is an important
ground fill, being maximum at 1,000 meters, more
than 5 meters of height
From 1,020 until 1,080 meters there is an important
ground cut, being the maximum 3 meters of height
To solve this problem it will be necessary to build
important retaining walls in the forest area
