announced their proposal
to drop wrestling from the
Olympic program,
starting with the 2020
Games.

staple sport in the
Olympics since it was
incorporated into the
Ancient Games in 708
BC, preceded only by

• Today, Olympic
wrestlers compete in
two styles, freestyle
