Editor's Notes
You can split scientific training into two pieces there are the fundamentals which for the most part do not change. Think about the content of a degree course, the basics of chemistry, biology, biochemistry. With some nuance the basics stay the same. When you begin your career in industry you gain commercial awareness, learning to work in a team, presentation skills. Although these things may become rusty they will never leave you. So take heart and remain courageous.
