Net- Network.
KYBNet is a youth network under the BIOAWARE
program that aims to engage youth in biotechnology
awareness, facilitate mentorship and stimulate
biotech entrepreneurial ventures among the youth in
Kenya.

 An empowered youth in communicating modern
biotechnology, its products and issues of concern.
MISSION
 To empower the youth with relevant knowledge, skills
and attitudes to participate and engage in
biotechnology awareness governance, influence policy
making, programming, framework development,
advocacy and monitoring and evaluation.

6. OBJECTIVES
 To engage the youth in Biotechnology Public
awareness by generating and sharing factual
information about modern biotechnology, products
and issues of concern that will make Kenya a more
informed Citizenry.
 To offer a platform for youth in and out of high school
and alumni students mentorship
 To initiate Biotechnology Youth Alumni Club
 To establish regional and global biotech
collaborations and Partnerships thru’ YABNet

A) BEST Program aimed at enhancing the knowledge and
skills of all graduates in technical, communication, and
entrepreneurship areas
BEST stands for Biotechnology Entrepreneurship Special
Training .
Areas of training are;
 Requirements of a business plan
 Intellectual property and patenting strategy
 Raising and managing finance
 Commercialization and marketing strategies
 Case history
