2. What is a matrix?
A matrix is a rectangular arrangement of numbers into rows and columns. It is also
represented by m×n which means m rows and n columns.
The elements of the matrix are enclosed by any of the brackets.(i.e) [ ] , ( ), { }.
3. Application of matrix in Encryption:
In encryption, we use it to scramble data for security purposes to encode and to
decode the data we need matrices.
There is a key that helps to encode and decode data which is generated by
matrices.
4. Application of matrix in 3-D Games:
Matrices are used in 3-D graphics to describe geometric transformation, such as
translation, rotation and scaling.
They are used not only for all game objects, but also for the camera.
They are used to create 3-D Co-ordinates to 2-D screen.
5. Application of matrix in Economics and
Business
Matrices are used to calculate gross domestic product in economics and helps
with the production, distribution and consumption of goods and services.
It is used to study the trends of business, shares, Rick analysis and more.
6. Application of matrix in construction:
Matrix is a great mathematical tool which can be used in a wide variety in
application of civil engineering.
Matrix method is useful for structural analysis by stiffness and flexibility.
Matrices can helps to support various historical structures.
7. Application of matrix in Geology:
Matrices are used for taking seismic surveys.
Many geologists are using different types of matrices for seismic surveys.
They are used for plotting graphs, statistics and also to do scientific studies.
8. Application of matrix in computer
Animations
Matrix helps in making animation more precise and perfect.
Software and Hardware graphics use matrices for performing operations like
reflection, rotation and translation etc...
9. Application of matrix in physics:
Matrices are applied in the study of electrical circuits, quantum mechanics and in
optics.
Matrices plays a major role in calculation like conversion of electrical energy into
another useful energy.
It helps in solving problems using kirchoff‘s law of voltage and current and also in
Quantum physics.
10. Application of matrix in statistics:
Matrices are used in real –world data such as the population of peoples, birth of
infants, mortality rate etc....
It is used to express collections of data for analysis, design, model and so on.
11. Application of matrix in Robotics and
Automation
In Robotics and automation, matrices are the basic components for robot movements.
Based on the matrices calculations, they are used for controlling robots for accurate
movements.
12. Conclusion:
Therefore, Matrices are used much more in daily life than people would have
thought. In fact it is in front of us everyday when going to work or even at
home.
