6. GVK - EMRI
■ The GVK EMRI (Emergency Management and Research Institute) is one of the
most important social initiatives of GVK. It is a non-profit organization based
on Public Private Partnership model. It attends to every emergency situation
in the country; be it a medical crisis, a law and order situation or a fire
disaster.
■ This service is spread across 15 states (Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Kerala,
Tamil Nadu, Assam, Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Goa, Karnataka,
Meghalaya, Madhya Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and
Rajasthan) and two Union Territories (Diu Daman and Dadra Nagar Haveli).
■ With the help of this widespread initiative and equipped with around 11,000
ambulances and 46,000 staff, over 45 million cases have been attended to
and over 1.5 million lives have been saved.
■ A three digit toll free emergency response number – 108 is accessible from

• Under the Government Scheme, GVK has provided housing facilities to 1000
underprivileged people in Kothur village of Nellore in the state of Andhra
Pradesh.
• It has constructed Pukka houses for weaker sections in Manikhera Village,
Mukatsar District, Punjab.
10. Sports – Tennis Academy
■ GVK strongly supports and endorses sports
as an expression of excellence among youth.
Inspired by associating with young sports

■ GVK Foundation has sponsored financial assistance to 200 eligible
beneficiaries under National Benefit Scheme at Indukurupet village in
Nellore District of Andhra Pradesh.
13. CSR As Part Of Various Businesses
GVK CSIA, MUMBAI
■ Women Empowerment - The all-women taxi operator services have been launched
that operate from the airport. These operators are meant to service women and
children and are provided with separate counters, free pickup slots and free parking
spots for their vehicles.
■ Education - GVK CSIA extends support for education by visiting residents of nearby
villages. Stationeries are distributed to the children to equip them with the basic
tools for attending schools.
■ Health - Medical camps are organized for the community members Several football
tournaments, cricket tournaments and cultural activities are organized.
TAJGVK supports various NGOs by purchasing hand-made jute products, organic
bakery etc. and also distributes spare linen and uniforms to the underprivileged.
