16. Hole-One-Contests Hole-In-One contests are probably the oldest form of adding some excitement to a golf tournament, whether it be for CASH, a New Auto or anything that you or your sponsor wish to have covered under the insurance coverage—It’s all based on the $$$ amount and the number of golfers with minimum yardages required. The ideal method would be to have this sponsored, so it eliminates out of pocket cost to the tournament. You could elect to sell chances / shots on the Prize Hole (i.e. $10 to $20) with the chance to win the Prize, this in-turn raises additional monies for your event. Most insurance carriers offer Auxiliary Prizes for the other Par 3s in case someone gets a Hole-In-One it’s not just an at-a-boy, but a nice prize (Color TVs, Trips, Camcorders, Set of Golf Clubs and other prizes). Make sure the insurance carrier offers unlimited winners on the coverage provided, this gives others the opportunity for the prizes even including the major prize. Sample rates for coverage: Amount of Coverage up to 72 golfers 73 to 144 golfers $25,000 $430 $635 $40,000 $580 $860
17. Million Dollar ShootOuts Million Dollar ShootOuts are a great addition to any tournament, what excitement when someone gets to shoot for a $1,000,000. Some tournaments even market their event as : “$1,000,000 Golf Classic” This can be sold to golfers either on a Par 3 Tee for a fee of between $10 to $20 for a chance to win the right to shoot for a Million Dollars at end of event. Normally whoever is closest to the Pin on this hole would have the opportunity at days end to shoot for the $1,000,000. This can be done from the 9th or 18th fairway heading back towards the club house so other players can watch and cheer the shooter on, what excitement. In some instances if there is a winner, proceeds can be split with the charity. Another method is to sell raffle tickets for this shot and draw a winning name or number for the shooter selection.
18. Putt for Cash This has become the most popular fund raiser added to golf tournaments and events. This could be run in-conjunction with the event the day of or in some cases run at trade shows, business functions, malls, carnivals as stand-alone fund raisers. Part of the reason for it’s popularity is that anyone, non-golfers alike feel that they can make a putt, so they all want to try. Coverage can be provided for both a natural surface (golf course) or an artificial surface:

20. Super Ticket The all inclusive, Sell in advance or at check-in Minimize Selling!!!
21. What a great way to minimize the selling efforts at the event, The All Inclusive SUPER TICKET is just the answer all the while raising additional monies to “ Enhance the Bottom Line. ” The SUPER TICKET is also exciting by offering CASH prizes on ALL PAR 3s and further more with the prize being $2000 it doesn’t require any additional witnesses other than the playing partners in the group. In addition some lucky or should we say skilled golfer will get a chance to PUTT for $5,000 CASH and someone will get a chance to Shoot for a $1,000,000 , that’s excitement to an event. Be creative and add Mulligan(s), A Raffle Ticket only for SUPER TICKET holders (like a set of irons or a piece of jewelry) and more to the ticket to add value. You can even SELL sponsorships on the back of ticket and/or have redeemable (add value) at a local merchant. SELL for whatever your market and tournament will bare. Most commonly they Sell in the range of $20 to $50 each, or $75 to $175 for the foursome. Example: 128 golfers with 85% participation @ $30 ea. = Additional Gross Income $3240 You can market these in advance on the brochure promoting the event, just like player registration the golfers can purchase them in advance.
