and peopleware that make up
the computer system?
Elements of a computer system
- they are the hardware, software, and
peopleware.
- computer will not work without software and a
user who will give instructions to the computer
Hardware
- Is the visible part of the computer
- Can be touch
Proper care of the computer hardware
1. Clean your computer always. Use a damp cloth in cleaning the
parts. Use brush to dust off the keyboard and the mouse.
2. Never eat in front of the computer , crumbs and liquid might
spills.
3. Shut down computer after using it.
4. Never touch electrical wire.
5. Never place heavy objects on top of your computer hardware.
6. Always keep your working area clean . Avoid tangled wire that
can cause electrical problems.
7. Never plug your computer directly into a power outlet . Plug it
into a voltage regulator or an uninterruptable power
supply(UPS)
8. Unplug your system during lightning storms .
Software
- It is collection of programs and related data that
provide the instructions of telling a computer what
to do and how to do it.
Proper care of the computer software
1. Always back up your programs and files.
2. Run an anti-virus software in your
computer.(McAfee Virus scan, Avira, Kaspersky,
etc.)
3. Never start your computer with a diskette in a
floppy drive, a CD in the drive, or a flash disk in
the USB slot.
Peopleware
-refers to people who directly use computer
software and hardware

- A computer help doctors diagnose
different kinds of diseases
- Computers help students with research and
assignments. Teachers use computers to
prepare their materials and to encode

weather

- Firmware is stored permanently in
hardware.
- The computer is composed of three
elements, hardware, software, and
peopleware.

  • 1. Elements of a Computer System Prepared by: Shirley P. Valera Grade – 3 St. Francis/ St.Augustine/St.Maria Goretti School Year 2017-2018
  • 2. Pupils will explore the computer and write down the hardware, software and peopleWare that they see around the campus.
  • 3. Review of the past lesson on Information Processing Devices
  • 4. Do you know the different computer hardware, software, and peopleware that make up the computer system?
  • 5. Elements of a computer system - they are the hardware, software, and peopleware. - computer will not work without software and a user who will give instructions to the computer
  • 6. Hardware - Is the visible part of the computer - Can be touch
  • 7. Proper care of the computer hardware 1. Clean your computer always. Use a damp cloth in cleaning the parts. Use brush to dust off the keyboard and the mouse. 2. Never eat in front of the computer , crumbs and liquid might spills. 3. Shut down computer after using it. 4. Never touch electrical wire. 5. Never place heavy objects on top of your computer hardware. 6. Always keep your working area clean . Avoid tangled wire that can cause electrical problems. 7. Never plug your computer directly into a power outlet . Plug it into a voltage regulator or an uninterruptable power supply(UPS) 8. Unplug your system during lightning storms .
  • 8. Software - It is collection of programs and related data that provide the instructions of telling a computer what to do and how to do it.
  • 9. Proper care of the computer software 1. Always back up your programs and files. 2. Run an anti-virus software in your computer.(McAfee Virus scan, Avira, Kaspersky, etc.) 3. Never start your computer with a diskette in a floppy drive, a CD in the drive, or a flash disk in the USB slot.

  • 11. People working with a computer - A computer help doctors diagnose different kinds of diseases - Computers help students with research and assignments. Teachers use computers to prepare their materials and to encode grades - A computer help to finish work faster - A computer helps weather forecasters to determine incoming typhoons and predict weather
  • 12. Generalization - Firmware is stored permanently in hardware. - The computer is composed of three elements, hardware, software, and peopleware.
