Cefixime is an oral third generation cephalosporin. On the other hand, Cefuroxime is a second generation cephalosporin antibiotic. There are lot of feature, Advangtage and Benefit of these antibiotic. Here this issue is discussed briefly.

2. Switch Therapy
1) Afixime is considered as first choice of
switch therapy because it has similar chemical
structure, bacterial coverage and efficacy like
Ceftriaxone which is used as parenteral
therapy antibiotic in hospital. As a result
patients gets less costly alternative after
reaching home.

3. Typhoid Fever
2) Afixime is called drug of choice in Typhoid
feverbecause it shows highest sensitivity
(83%) against causative pathogens

resistant whereas Ciprofloxacin in 70%
resistant.
