Socjomania’s name refers to polish word ‘socjomania’, which means cyber-relationship addiction. Prefix ‘socjo’ also is denoting with social, society, humanity. From the beginning of our company existence (2012 year), we are putting the human at the heart of our interests. We want to offer our customers the best services for them, so a few years ago we started interest in design thinking methodology. Socjomania’s CEO, Katarzyna Młynarczyk, currently is finishing MBA studies on Laurea about service design, which is the most reliable sign for us, that we want to go into this direction. We are thinking not only about how to educate customers about design thinking, but also we implement design thinking methodology inside our company and its culture.

3. What is a design thinking approach?
Design Thinking is an approach, a process, a methodology, a set of tools, a mindset - a
complicated concept, which used in both theory and practice (Johansson-Skoldberg, Woodilla and
Cetinkaya 2013). It is all about creatively solving problems and initiates change by using a radical
collaboration of diverse disciplines.
Thanks to design thinking approach people have got an opportunity to look at the big picture and
help customer in faster and more comprehensive way. It can be used to re-inventing business
models, to resolve problems that solely data can’t solve or to give inspiration.
Design Thinking is the confidence that everyone can be part
of creating a more desirable future, and a process to take action when
faced with a difficult challenge (IDEO 2011)
