How pneumatic blender works edit
1. AIR KINETICS
• “AIR KINETICS” was started in year 2013 by experienced
technocrats with rich experience in the field of “ Pneumatic
Conveying Systems” and “Storage Silos
• “AIR KINETICS” designs and engineers all their systems and
components in house. Over the years Air Kinetics has
developed manufacturing facilities of their own at Thane
works.
• "Air Kinetics" has also committed large recourses for R&D.
Amongst rare facilities, Air Kinetics is having a test loop
with a capacity to evaluate the parameters o the unknown
materials with a transport rate of up to 3T/hours. This
facility contains fair amount of instrumentation.
2. OUR STRENGTH
• The partners have about 20 years of experience in above field in
international, arena.
• About 90% of the components are manufactured in-house,
whereby the delivery periods are greatly reduced.
• In the field of silos "Air Kinetics" can manufacture silos in the
capacity ranging from 5 M3 to 500 M3 in carbon steel as well as
stainless steel.
• Recently "Air Kinetics" has started manufacturing silos in aluminum
alloy ( Al Mg 3). Air Kinetics has a strength of about 10 aluminum
welders, few of them were trained by the partners in Germany.

5. How Pneumatic Blender Works?
• Blender is charged with powders to be
blended in the blender either by pneumatic
conveying or otherwise.
• Air is blown into powder bed through
fluidizing cone
• After the powder in the vessel is completely
fluidized, Agitating air pulses are introduced
through bottom nozzle.

6. How Pneumatic Blender Works?
• Agitating pulse duration is about 300 to 500
milli seconds.
• Interval between pulse is around 20-35
seconds.
• After about 30 to 40 minutes pulsing is
stopped and material is discharged through
bottom nozzle
• While discharging fluidizing air is still blown in
the material to avoid segregation of material.

material.
• Particle Size (Maximum and Minimum)
• Standard deviation between particle sizes
• Fluidizing Property of Material/ Powder
All above properties can be checked at our works.

8. Comparison between
mechanical & Pneumatic Blending
Mechanical Blenders
• For 5 T powder Blending
Required time is about 3-4 Hrs
• Temperature rise of blend is
about 20o to 30o C
• For 5 T blender about 30Kw is
required for 4 hrs.= 120Kwhr
• Some Pigments are sensitive
to temperature rise thus
causing loss of quality
Pneumatic Blenders
• For 5 T blending time is
about 40 minutes.
• No Significant Temperature
rise.
• Total Power consumption of
5kW for ½ Hr.= 2.5 kwhr.
• No temperature rise hence
no loss of Quality
