Now, a new addition !
Via Ferrata means ‘iron way’ in Italian.
It refers to a system of fixed cables, ladders, steps, and bridges placed on exposed mountain
sections, allowing people to climb without the aid of ropes and other mountaineering equipment.

‘It has been an immensely tough few weeks for southeast Queensland's Binna Burra Lodge, with the beloved Gold
Coast hinterland site devastated by bushfires at the beginning of September. While the heritage-listed venue
is currently planning its reconstruction process, including when it'll welcome patrons back through the doors, the
iconic spot has announced a piece of good news — a new climbing attraction that'll open in 2020.’

‘Via Ferratas (or fixed rope routes/Iron ways) in Tirol are adventurous
mountain routes suited both for seasoned climbers and beginners.
The via ferratas secured with steel cables, ladders and carved steps,
traverse all of Tirol's mountain peaks.’

19. “Burma Bridge”
– will be built across the Bellbird Waterfall on Binna Burra Lodge land
The Burma Bridge draws its name from
the bridges of the Burma Railway, built by the
Japanese during World War II, especially those over
the River Kwai (Kwai Bridge) in Thailand and over
into Burma (now Myanmar).
It’s a hanging bridge often part of a Ropes course
that consists of a single wire or rope or wooden
plank to walk on and two others to hold on to.
You’ll be wearing a harness, connected to a cable
above your head.
