Plants. Serving in the dual role as Project/Process Manager (leading a team of 8 highly
experienced process engineers) working at client’s site due to confidentiality requirement and
responsible to conduct an assessment of existing Pressure Relief Systems (PRS) design and
documentation to evaluate the consistency and conformity with all applicable industrial and
regulatory safety standards and codes for 2 different plant sites currently awarded.
AMNI International Petroleum – Langley Upgrade Project, Nigeria. Served as Lead
Process Engineer responsible for leading an offshore brown field project of approx $200
million USD for engineering as well as act as owners engineer to manage the execution of the
project. Project scope includes addition of new well head platform (WHP), modification of
existing WHP and upgrade existing production facility to enhance the current production rate of
1000 to 30,000 bopd. Scope also includes developing the concept for 2 new gas WHP and a
new MOPU design and integrate with the existing oil production facility where the export gas
will be used for new 2 MMTPA FLNG (FLNG by others). Managed the total process design
from concept to detailed engineering. The project is currently on Hold.
PetroEcuador – Merox-Amine Units Revamp Project, Esmeraldas, Ecuador. Served as
the Lead Process Engineer responsible (led a team of 6 process engineers) for FEED and
detail engineering of revamp to increase the capacity to 6260 bpd from 2271 bpd of LPG
Merox, 13355 bpd from 11000 bpd of Gasoline Merox, 5.5 m³/h from 1.0 m³/h of Amine
Treating and 24 m³/h of new Sour Water Stripping units. The Merox & Amine processes were
licensed by UOP, in which the capacities of the units to be increased to meet the enhanced
plant capacity due to modification of existing FCC and other plants. SW Stripping was
designed by WorleyParsons. Managed the total process design work of these 4 units.
ExxonMobil Canada Ltd – Hebron Field Development, Newfoundland, Canada. Served as
the Lead Process Engineer responsible (led a team of 35 process engineers) for leading the
project of $14 billion USD for Front End Engineering Design (FEED) and detail engineering
(EPCM) of peak 150 kBPD of oil production with 235 MSCFD of total gas compression, 283
kBPD produced water treatment and 372 kBPD peak sea water injection from a 52 slot GBS

(Gravity Based Structure) offshore platform supporting Drilling-Production-Living Quarters
integrated float-over topsides, with crude storage at GBS and offloading facility. Working as
Lead to manage the overall process and interface design and engineering for topside process,
facility’s total utility systems, and interfaces with Drilling, GBS and Living Quarters.
Exxon Neftegas Limited (ENL) – Arkutun-Dagi Field Development, Sakhalin 1 Project,
Russia. Served as the Lead Process Engineer responsible (led a team of 32 process
engineers) for leading the project of $10 billion USD for Front End Engineering Design (FEED)
and detail engineering (EPCM) of 90 kBPD of oil production (125 kBPD of total fluids and
associated gas) with 160 kBPD peak water injection from a 45 slot GBS (Gravity Based
Structure) offshore platform supporting Drilling-Production-Living Quarters integrated float-over
topsides, with a buried 25 km multi-phase flowline tie-in to Chayvo onshore processing facility.
Managed the total process and interface design and engineering for topside process, facility’s
total utility systems, and interfaces with Drilling, GBS and Living Quarters.
Chevron Products Company – Combined CCR Project, Pascagoula, MS. Served as the
Lead Process Engineer responsible (led a team of 9 process engineers) for detail engineering
of CCR Platforming™ project of $600K USD licensed by UOP in which the capacity of the new
CCR Platforming™ process unit was 55,000 BPSD. Managed the process of new CCR, new
Reformate Splitter unit, new PSA unit, and revamping of a few existing units.
Chevron Products Company – Combined CCR Project, Richmond, CA. Served as the
Area Lead Process Engineer for the OSBL area for the FEED to prepare a class 3 (+/-10%)
cost estimate for a new 55,000 BPSD CCR Platforming™ unit (UOP technology) for the
Richmond Refinery. Managed the complete OSBL tie-in and distribution of all feeds and
utilities, new oxygen stripping unit (design and engineering), new methanator unit (process
licensed by UOP), new sulfur sorber unit, and performance evaluation of existing reformate
splitter unit based on new feed from CCR plant.
Jun,04 – Aug,06 Senior Process Engineer, Bantrel Inc. (Bechtel Canada), Calgary, Alberta, Canada
Petro-Canada – Edmonton Refinery Conversion Project (RCP 1.1), Edmonton, Alberta,
Canada. Served as the Sub-Lead Process Engineer responsible (led a team of 10 process
engineers) for DBM, FEED, & detail engineering of new Delayed Coker unit (Plant 69) to
support RCP 1.1 project. Designed based on Process Design Package (PDP) provided by
KBR, Houston, USA. Reviewed KBR’s design, further engineering for process and system
design of fractionation area, and a part of the unit’s utilities and offsite and support to other
areas. Provided a design with a capacity of the new unit at 16,600 BPSD of fresh feed from the
new sour crude and vacuum unit.
Suncor Energy, Inc. – Millennium Coker Unit (MCU), Ft McMurray, Alberta, Canada.
Served as a Senior Process Engineer responsible for the DBM and EDS of new Tank Farm
(Suncor ATT) and the modification of existing North Tank Farm (NTF). Designed additional
tankage capacity for increased production of sour crude as a result of MVU/MCU expansions.
Relocated sour crude blending facilities and rerouted existing transfer lines.
Feb,01 – Jun,04 Senior Process Engineer, Jacobs Canada Inc., Calgary, Alberta, Canada
Canadian Natural Resources Ltd – Horizon Oil Sands Project, Ft McMurray, Alberta,
Canada. Served as the Area Lead Process Engineer responsible in the Engineering Design
Specification (EDS) for a new common TGCU (SCOT™) process by Shell Global Solutions.
Worked in three phases and with a total estimated cost (TIC) at $10.8 billion (CDN). Led the
area process team and engineering of the SCOT™ unit by implementing licensed technology
and developing PFD, P&ID, H&MB, few equipment sizing, line sizing, hydraulics/pump
hydraulics, relief valve, control valve, LDT, EDS write-up, and SIL/SHE review. Conducted a
system review of interfacing between multiple areas.

Nova Chemicals Ltd. – Ethane Recovery Plant, Alberta, Canada. Served as a Senior
Process Engineer responsible for a feasibility study with preliminary cost estimate for an
Ethane Recovery of worldscale gas plant using Turbo-Expander technology. Developed best
process suitable for the proposed location and a novel technology to achieve 98% ethane
recovery at a very low recompression horsepower. Provided a conceptual design, simulation,
PFD, and H&MB and specified major equipment, equipment cost estimate, and write-up.
Agrium, Inc. – CRU Phase 2 Feasibility Study, Carseland, Alberta, Canada. Served as the
Lead Process Engineer responsible for Agrium’s Phase 2 conceptual feasibility studies.
Developed schemes for full urea plant conversion to Controlled Release Urea (CRU) with
technical analysis for investment strategies based on sequential conversion. Provided a
conceptual design, PFD, simulation, H&MB, 100+ equipment sizing and datasheets, process
write-up, etc.
Agrium, Inc. – CRU Expansion Project, Carseland, Alberta, Canada. Served as the Lead
Process Engineer responsible for Agrium’s existing CRU plant revamping project. Provided
detail engineering of 10 TPH of CRU plant modification based on Agrium’s new Premix
technology. Developed PFD, P&ID, utility distribution diagram, equipment sizing, H&M balance,
new control strategy, few studies, and modifications to improve performance and simulation of
complete plant.
Criterion Catalysts & Technologies (a Shell company) –Unit-1 & actiCAT™ Plant
Modification, Medicine Hat, Canada. Served as the Lead Process Engineer responsible for
the modifications of existing Unit-1 and actiCAT™ catalyst plant, including off-gas venting,
afterburner modifications, catalyst preheating/ and cooling unit, oil impregnation unit, gas
burners management system, NiCO3 handling system, and modification of dust collection unit.
Studied operational problems, found the best economic solutions, and provided detail
engineering for the proposed modifications.
North American Pipeline Group – NGL Plant Process License, Alaska, USA. Served as a
Senior Process Engineer responsible for developing process schemes for NGL recovery plant
for initial operation in a C3+ NGL recovery mode and future provision of ethane recovery using
Turbo-Expander technology. Provided simulation, H&MB, PFD’S, and process license
package for the proposed NGL plant.
BP-Amoco – Process Optimization of Existing NGL Plant, Fort Saskatchewan, Canada.
Performed process optimization of existing NGL plant to minimize the cost of production at
different production scenarios. Performed thorough simulations by considering different
operating scenarios to optimize the plant’s production capacity Vs cost of production.

Exxon as the Process Licensor. Worked with fluid-solids area and fluid coker utilities.
Developed P&ID, line sizing, detail hydraulics, pressure vessel sizing, utility pump design and
hydraulics, instruments and control valve sizing and specification, PSV sizing, utility flow
diagrams, utility hydraulics, line designation tables and battery limit interface table, and

Petro-Canada – Edmonton Refinery, Tank Farm 400 Project, Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.
Served as a Process Engineer responsible in the Design Basis Memorandum (DBM) for the
new Tank Farm 400 project. Developed Block Flow Diagram, PFD's, P&IDs, utility distribution
diagram, and demolition drawings, line sizing, and line list.

Nova Chemicals Ltd. – Linear Low Density Polyethylene (LLDPE) Plant, Joffre, Alberta,
Canada. Served as a Process Engineer responsible for the detail engineering of 350,000 TPA
capacity polyethylene manufacturing plant project valued at $450 MM (CDN); the new plant
was designed using Nova’s advanced SCLAIRTECH™ technology. Worked with detail
engineering in FEED preparation and reaction and phase separation area of the polyethylene
plant. Developed P&ID’s, line sizing, detail hydraulics, pump hydraulics, instruments and
control valve specification, PSV sizing, rupture disk specification, design and analysis of flare
system, line designation table and design of stream tracing zones.

Indian Petrochemicals Ltd. – HDPE Plant, Gandhar, India. Served as a Senior Process
Engineer responsible for the detail engineering of a 160,000 TPA HDPE project. Developed
interconnecting P&ID's, steam distribution, equipment and instrument specification, vendor
discussion and technical bid evaluation for the pellet homogenization section, butane recovery,
pellet storage and refrigeration system for the control room, and other air-conditioned units.
1990 - 1996 Process Engineer, Projects & Development India Ltd (PDIL), Sindri, India
National Fertilizer Ltd. – Methanol Plant, Nangal, India. Served as a Process Engineer
responsible for the design of a 94 TPD methanol plant, which involved FEED and detail
engineering for capacity augmentation of an existing plant.
VBC Industries – Nitric Acid Plant, Srikakulam, India. Served as a Process Engineer
responsible for designing an 80 TPD weak nitric acid plant of 60% concentration on this
grassroots project, including FEED and detail engineering and commissioning. Worked on this
first successful experimental design of single sieve tray tower for both oxidation and absorption.
MECON Engineering – Sulfuric Acid Plant, Ranchi, India. Served as a Process Engineer
responsible for the design of a 1,500 TPA sulfuric acid plant where elemental sulfur was used
as a basic raw material, including FEED and detail engineering only.
Rourkela Nitrite Ltd. – Sodium Nitrite/Nitrate Plant, Rourkela, India. Served as a Process
Engineer responsible for the design of a 21.7 TPD sodium nitrite/nitrate plant, including FEED
and detail engineering for the salt section only where sodium nitrite liquor was basic raw
material (product sodium nitrite/nitrate ratio was 80:20).
Rourkela Steel Plant – NOx Abatement Plant, Rourkela, India. Served as a Process
Engineer responsible for the design of a 21 TPD sodium nitrite liquor plant by alkali scrubbing
of NOx in an existing nitric acid plant, including FEED and detail engineering and
commissioning for NOx abatement in tail gas from 3,000 ppm to 300 ppm.
Rashtriya Chemicals & Fertilizers Ltd. – Sodium Nitrite/Nitrate Plant, Trombay, India.
Served as a Process Engineer responsible for the design of a 20 TPD sodium nitrite/nitrate
plant’s revamping project, including FEED and detail engineering for the ratio improvement of
sodium nitrite/nitrate from 1:1 to 3:1 in an existing plant.
Provided commissioning services for the following projects:

Served as the Lead Process Engineer responsible for the modifications of existing Unit-1 and actiCAT™ catalyst plant, including off-gas venting, afterburner modifications, catalyst preheating/ and cooling unit, oil impregnation unit, gas burners management system, NiCO3 handling system, and modification of dust collection unit. Studied operational problems, found the best economic solutions, and provided detail engineering for the proposed modifications. North American Pipeline Group – NGL Plant Process License, Alaska, USA. Served as a Senior Process Engineer responsible for developing process schemes for NGL recovery plant for initial operation in a C3+ NGL recovery mode and future provision of ethane recovery using Turbo-Expander technology. Provided simulation, H&MB, PFD’S, and process license package for the proposed NGL plant. BP-Amoco – Process Optimization of Existing NGL Plant, Fort Saskatchewan, Canada. Performed process optimization of existing NGL plant to minimize the cost of production at different production scenarios. Performed thorough simulations by considering different operating scenarios to optimize the plant’s production capacity Vs cost of production. Jul,97 – Feb,01 Intermediate Process Engineer, WorleyParsons Canada, Calgary, Alberta, Canada (Formerly Colt Engineering Corporation) Syncrude Canada Ltd. –- Oil Sands Upgrader Expansion (UE-1), Fort McMurray, Alberta, Canada. Served as a Process Engineer responsible in the Engineering Design Specification (EDS) for the new fluid coker plant, with a capacity of 95 KBPD, TIC $7.5 Billion (CDN), and Exxon as the Process Licensor. Worked with fluid-solids area and fluid coker utilities. Developed P&ID, line sizing, detail hydraulics, pressure vessel sizing, utility pump design and hydraulics, instruments and control valve sizing and specification, PSV sizing, utility flow diagrams, utility hydraulics, line designation tables and battery limit interface table, and assistance in Engineering Design Specification (EDS) write-up. Petro-Canada – Edmonton Refinery, Tank Farm 400 Project, Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Served as a Process Engineer responsible in the Design Basis Memorandum (DBM) for the new Tank Farm 400 project. Served as a Process Engineer responsible for the detail engineering of 350,000 TPA capacity polyethylene manufacturing plant project valued at $450 MM (CDN); the new plant was designed using Nova’s advanced SCLAIRTECH™ technology. Worked with detail engineering in FEED preparation and reaction and phase separation area of the polyethylene plant. Developed P&ID’s, line sizing, detail hydraulics, pump hydraulics, instruments and control valve specification, PSV sizing, rupture disk specification, design and analysis of flare system, line designation table and design of stream tracing zones. 1996 - 1997 Senior Process Engineer, Uhde India Ltd., Mumbai, India (a Subsidiary of Krupp-Uhde GmbH, Germany) Indian Petrochemicals Ltd. – HDPE Plant, Gandhar, India. Served as a Senior Process Engineer responsible for the detail engineering of a 160,000 TPA HDPE project. Developed interconnecting P&ID's, steam distribution, equipment and instrument specification, vendor discussion and technical bid evaluation for the pellet homogenization section, butane recovery, pellet storage and refrigeration system for the control room, and other air-conditioned units. 1990 - 1996 Process Engineer, Projects & Development India Ltd (PDIL), Sindri, India National Fertilizer Ltd. – Methanol Plant, Nangal, India. Served as a Process Engineer responsible for the design of a 94 TPD methanol plant, which involved FEED and detail engineering for capacity augmentation of an existing plant. VBC Industries – Nitric Acid Plant, Srikakulam, India. Served as a Process Engineer responsible for designing an 80 TPD weak nitric acid plant of 60% concentration on this grassroots project, including FEED and detail engineering and commissioning. Worked on this first successful experimental design of single sieve tray tower for both oxidation and absorption. MECON Engineering – Sulfuric Acid Plant, Ranchi, India. Served as a Process Engineer responsible for the design of a 1,500 TPA sulfuric acid plant where elemental sulfur was used as a basic raw material, including FEED and detail engineering only. Rourkela Nitrite Ltd. – Sodium Nitrite/Nitrate Plant, Rourkela, India. Served as a Process Engineer responsible for the design of a 21.7 TPD sodium nitrite/nitrate plant, including FEED and detail engineering for the salt section only where sodium nitrite liquor was basic raw material (product sodium nitrite/nitrate ratio was 80:20). Rourkela Steel Plant – NOx Abatement Plant, Rourkela, India. Served as a Process Engineer responsible for the design of a 21 TPD sodium nitrite liquor plant by alkali scrubbing of NOx in an existing nitric acid plant, including FEED and detail engineering and commissioning for NOx abatement in tail gas from 3,000 ppm to 300 ppm. Rashtriya Chemicals & Fertilizers Ltd. – Sodium Nitrite/Nitrate Plant, Trombay, India. Served as a Process Engineer responsible for the design of a 20 TPD sodium nitrite/nitrate plant’s revamping project, including FEED and detail engineering for the ratio improvement of sodium nitrite/nitrate from 1:1 to 3:1 in an existing plant. Provided commissioning services for the following projects:  Participated in the commissioning of 80 TPD Nitric Acid Plant for VBC Industries in India.  Participated in the commissioning of 21 TPD Sodium Nitrite/Nitrate liquor by alkali scrubbing of NOx in Nitric Acid plant for Rourkela Steel Plant in India.
