WHAT IS A CHEEKBONE SURGERY?
Cheekbone surgery is a modification treatment
for prominent & protruding facial structure. It
repairs the any damage or defects that might
have resulted from an injury. The changes in the
cheekbone can either be achieved by a cheek
augmentation or a cheek reduction.
Cheekbone surgery is all too often associated
with balancing the facial outcome. It is done so
by analyzing the nose, chin & eye ratio.
Cheekbone surgery starts off by administrating
anesthesia to the patient. Once the patient is sedated,
small incisions are made, which are about an inch
long, through the hairline just above the ear or
through the exterior of the lips. The surgeon reaches
out to the cheekbone, repositioning them as required
to bring the outmost beauty of a face. The cheekbones
are either pushed back or cut down to eliminate the
protruding jaw line.
The incisions are sutured with dissolvable stitches
after the operation. This usually take around fifteen
days to heal completely. Bruising & swelling will
gradually disappear in a couple of days.
After the operation, the chin area should be protected
with a supportive ledge.
Movements should be minimized as much as possible
Stay away from dust & outside exposure which could
lead to infection.
Meals should be eaten as prescribed.
Strenuous exercise should be avoided at all cost in the
first 48 hours.
The Cheekbone surgery has permanent results; it
restores the facial balance of the face.
