Script:
From these activities, boys learn Sportsmanship and Teamwork. Boys like to be accepted as part of a group. In Cub Scouting, boys belong to a small group called a den where they take part in interesting and meaningful activities with their friends.
Finally, Cub Scouting has ideals of responsibility, self-confidence, citizenship training, and personal fitness. Scouting also focuses on spiritual and character growth. The Cub Scout Promise is a pledge of duty to God and family.
Script:
The Pack typically has five dens - one for each grade level 1st through 5th.
Organized by same grade/rank and meets weekly to work on achievements as a unit and have FUN!
There are usually 4 - 8 scouts in a den. If there are more than 10, you may consider having two dens.
Each scout rank has a book that explains all of the activities and achievements for that rank, and also includes a wealth of information on scouting and suggested activities.
Led by an adult leader (“Akela,” as in The Jungle Book) who gets to guide their scouts through the adventure!
Script:
Here are the badges that identify the ranks. We’ll go over these quickly.
Script:
The first The first rank that EVERY boy earns when entering the Cub Scouting Program is the Bobcat rank. It teaches the minimum things that every scout is expected to know and can be earned very quickly.
These requirements are meant to demonstrate that the boy is making a commitment to participating in the scouting program.
Script:
Boys can start when they are in 1st grade, or 7 years old.
Tiger cub scouts is a 1:1 program for boys and their adult.
There are three parts to covering each topic:
What you do as a Family
What you do as a Den
