I love words. I'm fascinated by them. Language is such a wonderful thing. But it's also complex, and it's easy to get tangled up in it. We see examples of that on a regular basis when a politician commits a "gaffe" or a celebrity says something they later have to walk back. But when you're writing, you have the time to play with your sentences, rearrange them, choose alternate words. In so doing, you can choose to entertain, to inform, to persuade, or to delight.
