

As teacher, it is essential that we
make the process of providing
feedback a positive, or at least a
neutral learning experience for the
students.
What is Feedback?
Feedback is probably the besttested principle in psychology.
 [It is] … most effective when it
is timely, perceived as
relevant, meaningful and
encouraging, and offers
suggestions for
improvement that are within a
student’s grasp (Brown, Bull, &
Pendlebury, 1997).

Feedback…
is any response from a teacher
in regard to a student’s
performance or behavior.
 can be verbal, written or
gestural.
 is purposefully used to
improve a student’s
performance- definitely not put
a damper on it.
 is to provide students with an
“I can do this” attitude.

