  1. 1. Welcome everyone Today’s presentation: Duration: 45 minutes (approx and including rest break)
  2. 2. Aim:  How Biscuit Organisations and the Media can Work Together to Promote the Reputation of the UK’s Biscuit and Snacking Sector. <ul><li>More specifically: What can we (The British Biscuit Advisory Board (BBAB)) do in response to recent media activities concerning biscuit safety to highlight our own campaigning – and can we give people the information they need in a fun and engaging, yet proper and official, fashion? </li></ul>
  3. 3. The media: Here are some examples of some of the recent reports in the media (press/online/TV) concerning biscuit safety.

What we can learn from these examples: <ul><li>Some people clearly enjoy biscuits </li></ul><ul><li>The public are now also scared of biscuits </li></ul><ul><li>UK seems to have little/no biscuit education </li></ul><ul><li>Problem biscuits are not being taken seriously </li></ul><ul><li>Incidents could harm the biscuit and snacking sector </li></ul><ul><li>Danger is a bigger problem than the public think </li></ul>

Interval: <ul><li>Take 5 mins to have a rest break and then come back. </li></ul><ul><li>Please don’t bring any biscuit snacks back into the room. </li></ul><ul><li>You will be tested on what we have learnt already. </li></ul><ul><li>While you’re there try to think of how you personally can help the snacking sector. </li></ul>
